Caring for a ‘Immortal’.
leorugiet answered: Here
The air has a sharp smell of ozone, thick like a chemical, and the distant sounds of thunder tell him lightning struck somewhere. Somewhere close. His hair is standing on their ends, his skin drawn tight with frissons. The air is tense. He doesn’t feel particularly endangered, mostly because getting hit by lightning is rare, and if he were to die, it probably wouldn’t be by that anyway.
Whatever encompasses him feels familiar. Like he’s been here before. He squirmed a bit but felt something constrict tighter. He stayed still after that, just glancing around curiously, but it’s dark, too little to see.
When he’s lain back down in the dirt, He covered his eyes to the sudden flashes of light coming from the sky. “Thanks.” He said, almost unceremoniously. How was he supposed to say this? It wasn’t even the first time it happened, but by now, he tried not to let the awe of it effect him, he just figured he better show some level of appreciation. He knows the wounds aren’t going to mend themselves, so he’ll be here for a while, laying there, probably for a day or two until he can recover the energy to leave.
Why was he doing this? He was no prince, no king, and yet... Staring at the body below him. Golden eyes stare intensely before a flash of lightning scatters the sky around him. He guesses, he can do this once, after all, this man, served his King and Chosen well.
Quickly snatching the body, he gently wraps his fingers around it and holds it securely but gently as not to crush the fragile form as he raises his staff, lightning slams against it as it infuses with the weapon before striking it into the earth as it cracks and ripples in response.
Once the earth settles, and nothing but destruction lays way, he slowly looks down at the body in his hand as he gently sets it down and pulls away. Hearing a weak thank you, the Astral frowns and his brush scrunch up. Continue staring for some time, seeing the other wasn’t moving, Ramuh sighs. Humans, they were so weak. Reaching out again, he gently picks the body up and holds him in his palm as he peers down, looking over the wounds and huffs. Weak and frail indeed... Looking around, he spots his new home not so far off before a heavy shower starts to pore as he swiftly moves, careful as to allow the human to breathe and to rest, but also keeping him from falling. Once by the ruins and his tree, he slowly reaches in and sets the man onto the ground before staring again. Should he bother to help the other more?
“...”
After a bajillion frustrating attempts to collect that brisket I got a Ramuh summon and nuked that Catoblepas into the afterlife. Got two briskets.
Ravus Nox Fleuret-Last Rites: An Observation.
Fight me Ravy-oli!!
Alright! It's time for some observation once more. While it is stated in the description of Ravus' tech ability that it is a "Magitek source" I feel as if it doesn't add up. Don't get me wrong, it's fully possible that Ravus is using Magitek weaponry to activate his lightning bolts.
But, why is it purple? If we've seen anything from the Magitek, it's that what ever is powering them......
It has always been red.
There are no instances hinting otherwise, not even in Episode Prompto, where it would have been seen!
"But Silver!"You might say, "If it's not Magitek, then what is it?"
An excellent question, dear reader! Although, you probably didn't ask it to begin with.
Take a look at the name:
Last Rites.

Does that sound like a mechanical function to you?
No, it is a act of holiness. And what is Ravus descended from?
The line of Oracles. Perhaps the holiest bloodline in Eos.
Ravus also says some very specific things throughout the game, such as:
"Power of the storm surges through my blade!"
And earlier than that:
"So, you've received the storm's blessing."
I always thought that Ravus knowing about Noctis acquiring the Mark of the Fulgarian was rather strange, but then again, A HUGE LIGHTNING BOLT TOTALLED THE BASE so I guess he would have noticed that something was different. But what if the reason he knew is because the Bloodline he comes from is, in a sense, bonded to it?
What am I getting at with this? I must beg that you look to the crest of the royal family of Tenebrae.
Does that seem familiar at all?
The staff of Ramuh, also known as:
And what color is his lightning?
A vibrant violet, just like the lightning Ravus wields.
I think that these things are far too similar to be written off as just a gift of the Magi(tek) as we have heard in the past that Ravus' super strength is possibly due to him being Oracle born, so who's to say that isn't the truth?
I love that lil grin
