[SPOILERS FOR EPISODE IGNIS]

If you play and get the WONDERFUL alternate ending, that means Episode Prompto didn’t happen because Noctis goes into the crystal right after/during the destruction of Altissia. 

It also means we never go on the train, encounter Ardyn again, and never acquire Shiva/Gentiana as a summon.

I’m assuming the boys stay together and prepare for Noctis’ return and don’t break apart from each other like in the original ending

I’m also assuming that this allows the Comrades DLC to still be a part of this separate timeline 

In Conclusion

Now I want Final Fantasy XV-2 where we can continue the journey and lives of King Noctis and his royal entourage Gladio, Prompto, & Ignis (ft. a now 25yo Iris, 17yo Talcott, 40yo Aranea, and a 38yo Ravus as they help rebuild Lucis as well as the rest of Eos

Ascending Souls (1/15)

Title: Ascending Souls Rating: Mature Status: In-Progress (1/15, ~5,500 words) Warnings: Violence, Character death, Blood, Gore, Canon ending with me refusing to let it happen, minor romance (not even worth tagging the ship)

Summary:  When the dawn rises, it is without their King. 

The Gods may have broken Noctis, but Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto are still alive and whole—and they refuse to give in without a fight. History has a way of repeating itself, and the hubris of Solheim that created the Tower of Ascending Souls, an abomination against the Gods themselves, may be the only way to save their friend.

But the tower is more than just narrow corridors and winding stairs: It is Heaven and Hell, Paradise and Nightmares, Dreams and Reality. Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto will need to come to terms with the past, present, and future if they hope to defeat the Thirteen Kings and reunite Noctis's body and soul.

They won’t fail him.

Never again.

(To those who wanted to see what happened after my massive "I hate this ending, let me climb the Citadel and fight all the Kings and Queens of Lucis, then let me punch Bahamut in the nose...." rant, this is what I came up with.)

I would like there to be a FFXV-2 in which they elaborate on how the world was rebuilt from the ground up after Noctis delivered the final blow to the Usurper and restored light to the world.

Did Ignis follow Weskham's example and open a restaurant?

Did the need for a post-apocalyptic daemon-hunting base end and Hammerhead went back to working on cars?

If there were statues or memorials built to commemorate the brave action of the Lucian king, how many people will believe it and how many people will say it's just a bedtime story? Once the generation that includes the chocobros as well as Aranea and Cindy dies off, there will be nobody left to verify the validity of those historic events.

Also, very important: will HighSpecs become canon?

Sometimes I like to picture the earth the way it is now as a post-FFXV universe as we do not have to battle daemons thanks to Noctis and his action, though the starscourge is still very much present in its forms and attacks those without sanitation, being renamed to malaria and Ebola for example. (But that's just me and my fiction-kin self o.o)
