a flag for those with gastrointestinal disorders and diseases of any kind! i partially wanted this flag for myself, as someone with gerd and ibs, but there's also not a lot of gi disability flags in general and i want to work towards remedying that.

purple, periwinkle, and green are common colors for gi disorder/disease awareness ribbons — periwinkle in particular is very common (used as the awareness ribbon for cancers of several gi tract areas/organs, gerd, and ibs), so i used two stripes of that color. the red stripes represent pain/discomfort, the gastrointestinal tract itself, and the stigma those with gi disorders/diseases face.

Fitness update: trying really hard to do a lot more cardio and have been doing great at keeping a steady workout routine. Not sure if I’m feeling semi better because of new medication or because of the fitness changes. Current medication treatment for my FGID (functional gastrointestinal disorder) gives me increased appetite as well as general weight gain which has been hard for me considering I am working so hard to be healthy and fit and have a body that feels good on the outside even if the inside feels so sick. Will update later. 8 percent body fat in this picture, 136 pounds. I’m definitely around 142 now and at about 8.5 to 9 percent body fat. Working on it. I’ll keep you posted.

Got to love 9 out of 10 , failing not to scream out loud, gastro pain. I was actually having a lovely evening with E and was actually doing my assignment . thank you body
