The Twins Through the Ages
Spectres are oviparous, so they lay eggs (note the birthmark on the shell, which generally varies from individual to individual).
The Twins were born as eggs first and then hatched into ghostly-looking little creatures. They didn't take on their human forms until they were 1 year old, and thus they retained their human forms, although they can occasionally revert to their ghostly-looking appearance.
Btw those creatures at the background are their "true" forms, i'm not joking when i say it
