I’ve been improving my craft room to make my small space more functional & less likely to clutter easily. This custom corner shelf now houses both my rotating spindle stands, inkle loom, my drop spindles, & my floor spindle.

Some absolutely beautiful tools arrived late last week. The double pitch combs & hackle were custom made for me by Celestial Farms to mach a set of hand carders & small hackle I already had from them. The flicker brush is also from Celestial Farms, bought as a premade from their etsy store.
The two spindles are hand carved by the artisan Carry Cherry Spindles from Russia.
Eeeeeeee! My new comb & hackle covers have arrived. I custom ordered these from Faemorgaine Leatherwork (https://www.facebook.com/FaeMorgaine) and they fit like a glove! I am perfectly protected from accidental stabbing & my tools look handsome.
Did some work down in the workshop this week. I’ve got the parts of my fibre blending board all cut & sanded, just waiting on some hardware in order to finish it off.
My glass whorl from Glassbead in etsy & custom spindle sticks to fit from The Dancing Goats arrived too. I sanded smooth some pointy parts of the sticks & sealed with beeswax, all ready to try out medieval spinning.
