it has been brought to my attention that all the wool i’m spinning is supposed to become something one day, which means i’ll have to get back to knitting or crocheting, but what if i just want to collect skeins of yarn

Once again it's time for another competition between my little bitty 0.6 oz drop spindle VS my need to spin an entire 1 oz bundle of wool onto it so I only have to ply one single.
WHO WILL WIN THIS TIME?!?
Fellow craftspeople... if you are working on projects late at night and have to work the next day, do not follow in my footsteps. Set an alarm so that you go to bed instead of looking up at the clock after snipping the last thread and realizing it is 4 o'clock in the fucking morning.
The First Annual “Kitsap County Great Spin Off” yesterday.
Some more wool I’ve spun! :] I plied two single strands together for the first time, so it’s more like proper yarn now, and I think it turned out well! °❀.ೃ࿔*
My actual first attempts were the two green bundles at the bottom, then I moved on to the brown and warmer toned green wool at the top. I think I was able to get those strands thinner and more defined as I went. (๑^◡^๑). ݁₊⊹. ݁⟡ ݁<3
I’m seeing some really cute Odypen art lately but all it’s doing is reinforcing the realization that nobody knows how drop spindles work.
*cackles* I managed to get 400g of ‘ice cream’ merino & milk fibre singles on my bobbin. I’m planning to measure off 3 equal lengths of singles to 3 ply with a sparkly silver thread.
2ply cheviot wool yarn in it’s natural white color, made from some old leftover fiber I decided not to dye.
