Swipe to see the finished yarn. I bought 4 oz of this beautiful blend of hand dyed Merino and Alpaca from @hummingbeefarm last year #fibreswest. Once I started to spin it, I decided I wanted to preserve the long runs of colour rather than plying it on itself so I decided to ply it with some Ashland Bay Merino in the colour Rose Quartz. I’m so pleased with how it turned out! The Rose Quartz is a much more subtle colour which lets the Humming Bee Farm colours dominate. I had no intention of buying yarn at #fibreswest2018 (usually I buy fibre, not yarn) but when I saw these 2 skeins of Merino Nylon the colour just spoke to me. The colour way is Beachside and it’s dyed by the very talented up and coming dyer Erika of @knitterlyduo - beautiful work Erika!
