Mage in a wolf pack

FIC IDEAS

There is an original work universe on AO3 called Mage in a wolf pack. Pretty much the main thing is that a Mage called Jamie is captured by a werewolf pack the wolves think he is a hunter cause he worked with them but in reality, he was a slave to the hunters. Cue misunderstandings and angst.

These fics are so amazing and angsty i love them all but there is only like 30 of them total and i literally squeel every time a new one apears. The people who write them are amazing.

Now i take like years to write a fic if i ever finish one enough to feel like posting it so i am posting all my ideas here. If Anyone wants to steal it and write it i would be delighted to read it.

1. Jamie has a little sibling who is a werewolf that the hunters also kidnapped.

a. Were the sibling is obviously attached to Jamie and says hes their brother but they think Jamie tricked the kid into and try to break the brainwashing they think happened.

b. Or Jamie is worried the wolves will take their anger out on their sibling and they pretned not to know them. This could go on were the sibling sneaks Jamie out of the Wolf camp and they hunt them down.

2. The hunters had captured another young human mage and were forcing Jamie to train them in magic so they could have a larger operation. And while all the angst and misunderstanding happen, Jamie is desperetly trying to protect the younger mage that reminds him so much of himself.

3. The wolf pack kept Jamie alive to train a young wolf that is also a mage (i commonly think in these if a mage does not get training the magic will act out and cause problems like spontaneous fires to the point of being dangerous to the mage and everyone around them) Jamie is training them for awhile when they get captured by Hunters that were allied with Eskender and then Jamie is attempting to protect the mage pup while waiting for the Wolfs to come rescue the pup.

4. A soul mate spin on it were Dimitri goes to kill Jamie when they are raiding the camp only to find out they are soul mates.

5. A more heart breaking one were the collar is permanent unless the person who controls it dies and the wolves only find put after trapping Jamie in it that he was a Slave. Adding in the collar auto enforcing commands. And not letting the wearer of the collar be away from the controler for long so who ever put the collar on has to learn to watch what they say to not accidently make it a command.

6. Jamie is the son of a high level royalty or royal advisor and the wolves bring Jamie to them to face trial for his crimes.

7. Jamie is not the only hunter they capture and the wolves lock them all together only to find out the next morning how the hunters treat Jamie.

8. The wolves reconize Jamie was a slave to the hunters but it take extremly long for him to realise they are different but he also doesnt know a life not as a slave and the trauma of the hunters and keeps on acting like a slave even as the wolves tell him he doesnt have to and its a slow process of him learning how to be free.

9. The wolves find out thst Jamie was a slave when hunters capture a bunch of them and Jamie. Jamie manages to get them out but can't leave the hunter camp due to the collar so they have to leave him and come back later to rescue him. Jamie does not think they are coming back.

Again feel free to steal any of these or parts of these or multiple. All i ask is if you post it let me know so i can read it.

hello, i had some thoughts i wanted to share about fic writing. luckily, this doesn’t seem to be a major problem in our fandom but i thought i’d share regardless. there is this general gist that writers who write crack fics, fluff fics, mostly smut, or anything that is not heavy angst or necessary about more ‘serious’ topics are silly. or, on the other hand, fics that do write about things like that are more serious or worth reading. it’s harmful and silly view because reading/writing is supposed to be for fun so it seriously doesn’t matter what is being consumed or created. again, opinions are(!!!) allowed to exist so if something is not your cup of tea that’s totally fine. you’re not required to read it. bashing authors is not right. fan fiction is completely selfless. fic writers write for nothing in return, so the least we can do is respect that and show them love and support, in return. especially if you’re engaging with it.

all genres are important and have a purpose.

in real life, romance and fantasy genres, (which have a prominently female fan base) are bashed on because of the fact that it caters to women. to see hate on the same wavelength carried into the community is disheartening (especially since a majority of fanfiction is created/consumed by woman. i’m not trying to disregard male/nonbinary fans either).

the fanfic community is beautiful so please keep on showing love and to all new writers, don’t be scared to share your work. there is always an audience for something and the right people will find you and share love. as a wise man once said, give love, and choose love.

i want to take all the people who write fic without paragraph breaks or even without several bits of necessary spacing

and the people who double-triple-quadruple-etc. paragraph break every single line of a fic

and i want to lock them both in a room they can't leave until they learn to SPLIT THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE

Yami Bakura as the 7 of Swords

The Ryou event is only a week away, and early on in my fic, Ryou finds 3 tarot cards: The Fool, Death, and the 7 of Swords.

Most people can probably guess the first two. The Fool is obviously Ryou (Yami B calls him a fool multiple times in the first section. It's also just Ryou's card as far as architypes). The Death card usually represents endings/transformation/change. It's foreshadowing in the fic on how their current selves/relationship has ended, and how they're both going to change/transform by the end.

I chose the 7 of Swords for Yami Bakura b/c I feel like it fits him as well as the Fool fits Ryou. It's a card that represents not only cunning, stealth, thievery, and deceit, (in general, it's the sussy bitch card which is perfect for Yami B) but it can also be a card about achieving one's goal unconventionally--also appropriate for Yami B being the RPG villain in the show about card games lol

To that one person who insists xreaders require a complete blank slate to count as xreader: Fuck you and your inability to accomodate readers other than / different from yourself! Along with your inability to even slightly imagine yourself differently. Like bruh, roleplay exists! That's why some xreader fics include trait tags!

What makes YOU a blank slate but anybody disabled and / or lbgtqia+ and / or BIPOC an OC if ANY of those aspects of themselves are highlighted / part of the fic?

How a reader perceives the world is bound to differ from person to person and it's nice to not have to always erase those aspects to fit into the more “blank slate” perspective of some xreader fics. Including a diversity of traits across fics will always be more inclusive than erasing all of them for the sake of projection.
