Hajime

He will put up a fight..

Good luck on even getting him to comply with this idea

If by some miracle he agrees, then you better buy multiple bags of candy.

He literally won't flinch a bit

Not even during gory movies

If you get scared by horror movies

He tells you that you shouldn't choose a very scary movie

If you decide to ignore him (rude), then expect him to say he told you so while you are hidden in his side.

Lets be honest, he is very protective and loves for you to see him as your protector.

So of course he will stay up through the night to "make sure you sleep well"

In reality, through the night he is working on paperwork T-T

If you don't get scared by horror movies

I like to think it hurts for him to have someone/something laying on his stomach due to his stomach problems, so he will be sitting up and you either in his lap or laying on his shoulder.

You both point out stupid decisions that the characters make

I also headcannon that he will get mad if an animal (cats mostly) gets killed

Points out mistakes in the fight scenes

He will be glued to your side the entire night

Cover his eyes during gore scenes please

He may work at a prison but he can't handle guts and pain

BUT he will focus on fight scenes and tell you what they are doing wrong, right, etc.

Expect to be woken up just to go to the bathroom with him cause he is scared

Also don't say a word to Hajime about this

They want to make you happy and enjoy the movie with you...but is worried about losing beauty sleep

So instead you two will watch some more family friendly Halloween movies!

You both will put face masks on and eat some popcorn (unsalted)

Falls asleep in the middle of the movie but pretends they were up during the entire thing...yeah right

They overall aren't a fan of Halloween

Not only because Kiji never really celebrated it, but they don't like being scared

But to spend that time getting scared?

He is confused

But he is a cheesy romantic so he will do anything to please you

How sweet

Speaking of sweet, he also doesn't like many sweets.

But will buy you some of course!

And by "some", I mean 6 bags of candy...

He loves to spoil

If you get scared by horror movies

Probably the sweetest out of the four

Will pull you closer each time you get scared

Kisses you when he can tell that a jumpscare is about to happen

Afterwards, he will stay up till you fall asleep

Holds you close throughout the night, not because he is scared but because he wants to comfort you

If you don't get scared by horror movies

Still holds you close in case you do get scared

During slow parts of the movie, kisses your neck and whispers in your ear.

Doesn't talk during any other parts of the movie

He also doesn't leave the room except to let his dogs out (I like to think he takes the dog guards home with him)

While you are watching closely to the movie, he will admire you

Hi Eve! Okay so I was reading sw and after the cubs get together we see Finn and Leo tell part of the team about their relationship and Logan telling Sirius, but we never get to see Dumo finding out and I would really love to see Logan telling Dumo. I just feel like coming out to him would be a really important moment for Logan and a very cute, emotional, father/son, bonding moment for both of them.

I adore your writing and if you have the time, I’d love it if you could write something like that? Thank you!♥️♥️

Day 11: Halloween Song

If there’s somethin’ strange, in the neighborhood—

“I’m in a relationship.”

Dumo paused with a handful of unicorn streamers halfway to his cart. “Really?”

“Mhmm.” Logan was still sifting through the sticker bin, elbow-deep in characters from a dozen different holidays, but his hands trembled. “Have been for—for about a week now, officially.”

He nodded slowly and set the streamers down. What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck— “What’s their name?”

Logan snorted. “Not assuming it’s a girl?”

“I think I learned that lesson already with my other basement goblin. Is she?”

“No.”

Is there something in the tap water? Dumo thought as ‘Ghostbusters’ continued to play overhead. Maybe something haunting the basement walls? “What’s…his name?”

A beat of quiet passed as Logan continued shuffling through sparkly butterflies; he swallowed hard before chancing a look over. “Two.”

Dumo blinked. “Two? Two boyfriends?”

His answering hum was a bit strangled. “You know them, actually.”

“Alright, well, good for—”

“It’s Leo. Knut. Knutty?” He cleared his throat. We’re doing this in a Party City playing outdated Halloween music, Dumo realized through his fog of surprise. My other son is coming out to me and we’re in fucking Party City. “And Finn. Finn O’Hara, the…you know him.”

“Yeah, I know him,” Dumo said, feeling rather silly about the whole thing. He wasn’t exactly surprised, but he had to admit it had been a toss-up between the two for who Logan would end up with. Both…both wasn’t bad. “That’s wonderful, Logan.”

“Yeah, it’s pretty cool,” he said thickly, swiping his cheek on the sleeve of his shirt without taking his hands out of the sticker bin. “It’s—I’ve been in love with Finn for about six years, actually, and Leo’s Leo and he’s just great and I’m gay but also not really?”

After a moment’s hesitation, Dumo reached out and placed his hand on the back of Logan’s shoulder, where he could feel him shaking all the way through. The tinny song echoing through the nearly-empty store was almost over. “I’m proud of you.”

He took a shuddering inhale. “D’accord.”

“Viens ici,” he murmured, folding Logan into his arms with a sigh. Hands immediately clutched the back of his thick sweater and a sob was muffled in the knit—he ran his palm in a steady circle over Logan’s shoulder blades until his shivering eased. “This is wonderful news and I am very, very happy for you.”

“I th—I think Sirius and Loops figured their shit out,” he said, sniffling. “They’re gonna be okay.”

“So are you.”

“It’s kind of a lot, isn’t it?”

Dumo gave him a light squeeze of comfort and felt Logan melt into him. “Not if it makes you happy.”

“I haven’t told anyone else yet.”

The electro-synth faded into silence and Dumo closed his eyes. “Thank you for telling me, then. I won’t share unless you want me to.”

“You can tell Celeste. Probably easier that way.”

“D’accord, mon fils.” He pressed a kiss to the top of Logan’s head; after a few more seconds, Logan pulled away and wiped his face off before turning back to the stickers. “We can head home now, if you’d like. We don’t have to stay.”

“Nah, it’s okay,” he said with a wet laugh. “We might miss the Christmas music next.”

“Logan?”

He raised an eyebrow. “Is this the ‘no boyfriends behind a closed door’ talk?”

“Non,” Dumo laughed. “If all three of you can manage to fit in one bed, you deserve it. It’s just…I’m proud of you. That’s all.”

His teasing smile slipped into something softer and a flush spread up to his ears. “Merci.”

“I’m proud of you,” Dumo repeated. I wish I could have had this conversation with all five of you. “And I’m here for whatever you need.”

Logan set the roll of glitter-coated stars down and Dumo met him in the middle for an even tighter hug, one that nearly knocked the breath out of him. There was nothing more he needed to say—Logan, despite his allergy to emotional discussions, seemed to understand. They would have plenty of time to discuss the details later without ‘The Monster Mash’ as their background music.

Day 8: Halloween sent me to the ER (I promise it's fluffy!)

TW for emergency room and injury (broken bone, not major), kid feeling guilty

Machines beeped all around them, along with a dozen different voices speaking over each other and several children crying; Regulus ignored the pain radiating up from his foot to gently lay his hand on Stella’s bouncing knee. “Deep breaths.”

“I’m so sorry,” she said tearfully for the millionth time in two hours. Her lower lip trembled and she swiped under her eye, smudging her eyeliner. “I—I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay,” Regulus assured her with a smile. Was his foot still throbbing from the tracks of her skate wheels? Without a doubt. Was he going to show any of that pain in front of his niece? Fuck no. “Stella, it was an accident.”

She sniffled, her dark eyes huge with misery. “I shoulda been looking where I was going.”

“Probably. But what happened, happened. I need you to take some deep breaths, ouais?”

Stella took a shaky inhale, then wrapped her arms around his upper body and curled up tight into his side until her face was completely hidden in the folds of his Squirtle onesie. “Are you sure you’re okay?” she murmured a moment later, still squeezing tight.

Regulus wrapped his arms around to rub her back and kissed the top of her head. “I promise, ma princesse. What’s Halloween without a little adventure, eh?”

Sirius came around the corner of the registration room a moment later—his face softened when he saw them and Regulus offered a reassuring glance as Stella clutched the fuzzy shell of his costume. Her skates had been abandoned for regular sneakers after the incident, yet she somehow made it work.

“Hey, sweetheart, you okay?” Sirius asked quietly, crouching down to her level. Stella hiccupped twice before Regulus felt her nod. “C’mere.”

She peeled away from Regulus to practically fall into Sirius’ arms, shaking in every limb. “I really didn’t mean to,” she sobbed as he brushed her hair off her forehead. Regulus’ heart hurt even more than his possibly-probably-almost-definitely-broken foot. “And—and now Halloween is ruined and we’re in the emergency room and I broke him.”

“Stella, it’s going to be just fine,” Sirius soothed. “Accidents happen. He’s not broken, Halloween isn’t ruined, and we’ll be out of here before you know it. Nobody is angry with you.”

I always knew you’d be a good dad, Regulus thought with no small amount of pride as her sniffling subsided and Sirius helped dry her tears. Ever since we were kids. Look at you now, doing what nobody did for you and absolutely killing it.

“Regulus Black?” a woman in duck-patterned scrubs called down the hall. “The x-ray room is ready for you.”

A slender hand slipped into his own as he stood and used the armrest for a little extra support; pain flared up in the ball of his foot, but Sirius wrapped a steady arm around his back and took most of his weight as they hobbled down the corridor in a strange four-legged race. “Nice and slow,” Sirius said, helping him over a cord. Stella’s grip didn’t falter for a second. “Easy does it, Reg.”

“You sound more and more like your husband every day,” Regulus said with a wry grin. “Should I be worried about a little Halloween possession?”

“Oh, please no,” Stella groaned at his side with the closest thing to a smile he had seen in more than an hour.

Sirius raised his eyebrows at her. “If you give me all your Reese’s, I won’t tell him you said that.”

“A quarter,” she answered, narrowing her eyes.

“Half.”

Silence fell. Regulus looked between them, then caught Stella’s eye and shrugged. She sighed heavily and moved a stray chair aside. “Fine, half. But you’re not getting any Crunch bars.”

Sirius met his gaze with suppressed laughter written all over his face. “You’ve been teaching my daughter to bargain?”

“Someone has to,” Regulus snorted. “Reese’s are high-value, high-demand, delicious balls of goodness and—”

“No more sleepovers,” Sirius interrupted with a shake of his head. “None. No more. Uncle privileges have officially been revoked.”

Regulus looked down at Stella and they both burst out laughing. “As if!” she cackled, looping her arm around his waist despite the fact that his weight was already off that foot.

“Yeah, Sirius,” he scoffed. “As if.”

“Both of you are terrible.”

Maybe something with Dumo first realizing Sirius liked Remus. I feel like it would be something along the lines of "aw, it's good Sirius is making friends - nope, he likes him"

Prompt #2: Masquerade Meet-Cute

Dumo ducked to avoid a flying lollipop and leveled a playful glare on Logan—he received a sheepish grin beneath the skeleton half-mask before Finn jogged past with the lollipop in hand and dragged him back off into the crowd. It was exciting to have a new rookie in his home after all that time, especially one so different than Sirius.

Speaking of…

He leaned back against the table and craned his neck to try and spot the familiar head of raven hair; the excessive sprawl of the rink ballroom made the search much more difficult than it would have been if they kept to the tradition of having the party at his own home. Still, he couldn’t deny that a costume party wasn’t a little bit more fun when he didn’t have to scrape crepe paper off the walls at the end of the night.

“Ope!” The sudden yelp to his left startled him; when he turned, red was already dripping over pale fingers. “Oh, god, I’m so sorry.”

“No, don’t be,” Sirius said, already dabbing at the spilled drink with a handful of novelty napkins. His brow was furrowed over his domino mask. “It was my fault, I should have been more careful.”

“I’m such a klutz,” the other man sighed as he reached around Sirius’ waist for a few more napkins. The accent was familiar, but the gray-and-tan wolf mask obscuring his face made Dumo stop and think for a moment. He was never all that good at placing American accents, especially when they were watered-down by years spent in the melting pot of Gryffindor and muffled by the noise of the crowd. “Did I spill on you?”

“Not at all,” Sirius assured him. The other man’s free hand flailed uselessly by his sloshed drink before he pushed the mask up, revealing an apologetic smile and worried hazel eyes. Sirius visibly paused. “Oh.”

“I guess your costume kind of hides it, huh?” Remus laughed with a shake of his head. “Good call.”

Sirius remained quiet for reasons Dumo didn’t quite understand before he blinked and seemed to come back to himself. “It was all Pots. Uh, James’ idea. Looks a bit stupid without him here.”

“Hey, no way!” Remus protested, looking up from his attempts at salvaging his tattered and lightly stained flannel with a frown. “You look badass. Robin, right?”

A soft smile—too soft for a mere lucky guess, to be honest—came over Sirius’ face. “Exactly. James is Batman.”

“He chose you over a couple’s costume with Lily?” Remus teased. The punch was nowhere to be seen on his hand, but neither of them moved from their place by the table. Interesting, Dumo thought. It wasn’t like their corner was particularly well-lit or close to the action. Very interesting.

“Catwoman’s around here somewhere.” The smile didn’t fade; if anything, it grew broader when Remus laughed.

Dumo tilted his head. Oh.

Oh.

“Oh,” he murmured to himself, taking a sip of the punch Logan had definitely helped spike not twenty minutes earlier. Pieces began clicking into place like the cutouts of a jack o’lantern, forming a whole picture that he had somehow missed over six years of knowing Sirius Black. There was no concrete proof, of course, but there was just enough to prod the back of Dumo’s thoughts.

He had never seen his pseudo-son look at anyone with that same bashful excitement before. Yet there it was, directed at one Remus Lupin.

Their topic had changed; Sirius poked one of the fuzzy wolf ears perched on Remus’ head and his eyes grew mercury-bright against the black of his mask at the responding snort. Though Remus’ quick sip of his drink might have hidden his face from Sirius, it did nothing to conceal his grin from Dumo.

Someone called Remus’ name over the pumping Monster Mash and they both jumped. “You should probably go make sure nobody drowns in the apple tub,” Sirius said wryly.

“Nah, I’m off-duty. Means I just get to enjoy the show.” Remus’ eyes twinkled in the low light under the brim of his mask. The voice called out again, more insistent, and they laughed. “Happy Halloween, Wonder Boy.”

Sirius’ breath visibly caught in his chest as Remus turned and nearly bumped right into Lily, who rolled her eyes and linked their arms before dragging him off. Dumo wasn’t the best at reading lips, but he could have sworn he saw Sirius mouth ‘wonder boy’ to himself before setting his own glass down and vanishing into the dense crowd.

Very, very interesting, he thought with a sly smile.

He checked his watch—ten minutes to midnight. Plenty of time to slip away like the phantom his own mask was named for and fill Celeste in on the plan taking a vague shape in his mind.

Double Bubble

Happy Fic O’Ween, everyone! The amazing mods of the SW discord server organized a prompt list for the next 13 days, and I am beyond excited to take part. 

Today’s prompt: “Accidental/ Matching Couples’ Costumes”

“Oh. My. God.”

Remus turned and almost immediately snorted punch out his nose. “No way,” he laughed. “No fucking way.”

“Look at you!” Heather exclaimed, obviously torn between amusement and offense. “Oh my god!”

June raised her eyebrows. “Is Sirius—”

“Yep.”

“Jesus.”

Remus stared at them a moment longer before shaking his head with a grin. It was eerie how well the silver paint on June’s arm matched his own, though he had to admit the smudgy eyeliner looked a lot better on her. That, and her knowledge of mechanics made the details worlds more realistic. “Give me two seconds, I’ll go get him.”

Luckily, Sirius’ costume made him easy to find in the crowd—Remus silently cursed his clunky boots as he tripped over a table leg and nearly slammed face-first into the shiny shield stretching across his back. “Wh—”

“Come on,” Remus interrupted, linking their arms. Dumo’s house was certainly big enough for people to spread out a bit, but it seemed the entire party decided to congregate in the living room. Hell, Lily’s oversized Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl hat took up two feet all by itself. “You’re not gonna believe this.”

Sirius burst out laughing the second June and Heather came into view. “Captain,” he teased with a mock-salute.

“Captain,” Heather responded in a solemn tone. “Are you aware you have a fugitive on your arm?”

“Says you!” Remus protested. June flexed her faux-metal arm in a playful threat and he stuck his tongue out.

“Easy, you two, nobody needs a Winter Soldier showdown in the middle of a party,” Heather warned.

June winked, giving her shield a tug and her cheek a kiss. “Are you gonna fight for me instead, oh captain my captain?”

Heather rolled her eyes, though Remus saw a blush forming beneath the dark lipstick mark on her face. “I’m supposed to have a moral code, remember? Loops, did you get your pants from the army surplus on 63rd?”

“How did you know?” Remus asked, winding an arm around his own Captain America’s waist. “What gave it away? The fact that I had to put duct tape over the little symbol on the side, or that your girlfriend is wearing the exact same ones?”

“Lucky guess,” she deadpanned.

“I think we’re forgetting something vitally important, actually,” June said. Remus raised an eyebrow as she dug around in one of her many thigh pockets before emerging with her cell phone. “Bring it in, copycats.”

It took some shuffling—and several stepped-on toes from two different pairs of black combat boots—but the four of them managed to extract themselves from the crowd and fit into frame by the front door. “Smile!” Heather singsonged as June snapped a photo.

“Perfect,” June laughed when they separated. “Loops, we’re the cutest assassins the world has ever seen.”

His phone buzzed a moment later; he swept past the million notifications waiting in his inbox for the most recent tag, where two Captain Americas and two Winter Soldiers beamed at the screen. Peak mlm/ wlw solidarity, the caption read, then in parenthesis, Canada’s ass < America’s ass.

“Hey, Calder!” Remus called as the two women headed toward the pumpkin-carving station in the kitchen.

“Lupin!”

He raised his eyebrows and patted Sirius’ spandex-clad hip. “Watch your mouth about Canada’s ass.”

Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You

New York City, 1945

A sharp gasp broke Logan’s moment to zone out and he jumped, nearly spilling his drink all down his crisp new shirt. “I love this song!” a tall man said from the booth next to him. “Come on!”

“But—” His friend—partner? Logan wondered. They were in the right place for it, after all—spluttered, still holding a glass of something the same amber as his hair. “Sirius!”

“Come on, Flyboy, you have to dance with me,” Sirius laughed, curling his hands in the other man’s suspender straps to pull him away from their small table. “I didn’t come all the way up from Brooklyn just to watch that pretty face sit at the bar.”

“All the way up, my ass,” Flyboy snorted, though he set his drink down. It took very little real effort on Sirius’ part to get him to move; Logan caught the edges of his smile for only a moment before they melted in with the other dancers.

The club was smaller than any of the other bars Logan had been to in America, and certainly smaller than any of the places he had visited since docking in New York. It was supposed to be temporary, but the war seemed to be winding down. His chances of being called back to the ship for more than a few repairs were dwindling with each new headline.

Two women went whirling past in a flutter of a patterned skirt and coattails—when they spun back to their previous spot, laughing, Logan’s heart stopped.

The man he had been staring at all night long was looking right back at him from the booth across the room, his brown eyes glittering behind the thick frames that had caught the low light before. The club wasn’t dark enough to hide the vivid red of his hair, nor the pretty blue of his shirt that complimented every broad curve of his shoulders. He winked. Logan’s breath hitched in his throat.

And then a second man, just as beautiful with a face like an angel, settled down on Red’s knee. It still shocked Logan that they could do that—it had taken him an age to find the underground club and learn the night’s password, but he had seen more of the affection he craved there in just over an hour than he had in any other bar in America or Canada. He was so caught up in the rush of endorphins that his brain didn’t register the sweet kiss Angel Face left on Red’s temple until it all came crashing down.

“Oh,” he said aloud, though it was barely audible over the ‘spooky’ swing music and dozens of voices. Red returned the kiss, on the lips that time, before tilting his head in Logan’s direction.

And before he could even think to drop his drink and make a run for it out of sheer embarrassment, both of them were on their feet and heading his way.

Shit, they’re tall, he thought as Angel Face easily maneuvered around the two men from earlier. Flyboy looked significantly happier to be on the dance floor, and his boyfriend looked significantly more kissed. “Bonjour,” he said as the two slid into the booth on his left side, then kicked himself for the slip. “Uh, hi. Hello.”

“Bonjour,” Angel Face said with a smile curling the corner of his mouth almost as easily as his accent rolled over every syllable. Goosebumps raced down Logan’s spine. “What’s your name, darlin’?”

He licked his lips and saw Red’s big doe eyes track the movement. “Logan. Logan Tremblay.”

“Where you from, Logan Tremblay?”

“Rimouski,” he said without thinking. “Ah, Quebec.”

Angel Face’s golden eyebrows rose; his grin widened. “Fancy.”

Red looked between them in clear confusion, then gave Angel Face’s knee a nudge under the table. “Is that another Wisconsin one?”

“Canada,” they corrected at the same time.

Red flushed all the way to his ears as Logan laughed lightly. “I was an English major, not geography! What brings you all the way down here, Tremzy?”

“Tremblay.”

“ ‘s what I said.”

Logan covered his smile by taking a drink—somehow, he didn’t think it worked too well. “The war. I’m a mechanic.”

“Say that again?”

“A mechanic,” he repeated. “Is that not the right word?”

Red leaned his chin on one hand with another devastating wink. “Nah, I just like hearing your voice.”

And, really, there was nothing he could say to that. Logan paused halfway through setting his glass back down and felt a wave of heat all the way to his toes. By some miracle, Angel Face seemed unbothered as he reached a pale hand out to shake. “Leo Knut, and this is Finn O’Hara. Pleasure to meet you.”

“Oh, yes it is,” Finn murmured under his breath. Leo leveled him with a playfully warning glare, but he just smiled. “You staying around here, sweetness?”

Logan stared at him for a long moment. “Are you flirting with me?”

“Mhmm.”

Righteous indignation flared in his chest. “You fucking asshole! Who do you think you are?”

Finn blinked. “What?”

“It takes a lot of nerve to try and pull some—some cheating bullshit when your partner is sitting right next to you, you know,” he seethed, keeping his voice low enough to not draw attention to them. Ruining the Halloween dance over one skeezy guy wasn’t his plan for the night. “I’m not going to be a side piece for you to fuck around with whenever you get bored.”

“I—”

“And another thing!” Logan continued. God, the audacity on these Americans. At least O’Hara had the decency to look mildly abashed. They might have been hotter than any men he had ever laid eyes on, but that didn’t excuse any fuckery. “Look at him! Look at your boyfriend! You’re going to flirt with another man when you’ve got someone like that on your arm? That doesn’t just make you a dick, it makes you an idiot!”

“Logan.” Leo’s hand was warm on his forearm, even through his shirtsleeve. For some reason, he appeared to be holding down a laugh. “Logan, it’s okay. I was flirting with you, too.”

“Excuse me?” Impossible.

“We were both flirting with you,” he confirmed, still not removing his gentle touch. His thumb was beginning to move in highly distracting circles over Logan’s wrist. “Harzy spotted you across the room and we both thought you were cute as a button, so we came over to talk and see if you wanted to come home with us tonight.”

Logan glanced between them; he felt a bit like he was missing out on some cosmic joke. His first time in a gay bar, and two men in a relationship with each other wanted him? “I…don’t think I understand. Both?”

“Both.” Finn’s easy smile had returned with a vengeance and it was obscene how distracting it was.

“I appreciated the vote of confidence, though,” Leo said with a cheeky flash of pearly white teeth. One canine was crooked—Logan wanted to feel it on his lips, his neck, his chest.

He blinked, shaking himself from that particular train of thought before it got him in even more trouble. “Alright,” he said after a few seconds of thought. His heart pounded wildly. Head fist, can’t lose, he thought. Worst comes to worst, you spend the rest of the week in your cabin and whack a wrench around the boiler room for a bit. “If you’re both okay with it and this isn’t a hit-and-run situation.”

“Hit and run,” Leo snickered, his nose crinkling. “Oh, I like you.”

“I’d like to get to know you first, though,” Logan added. “I’m not really the type to just…jump in to this sort of thing. Can we talk, or dance, or something?”

“Oh, no,” Leo groaned, though he didn’t sound all that sad. “You said the magic word.”

“Which—”

But Finn was already on his feet with bright eyes, all but vibrating with excitement as he took Logan’s hand and pulled him up as well. “Come on, Tremzy,” he called over his shoulder as they ran to the swaying crowd. “Dance with me!”

Between the burst of excitement when Finn pulled him close to his chest and the flurry of happiness in his gut when he saw Leo laughing at the table, Logan had the feeling he was in for much, much more than a single night.
