Everyone and their mom says X is the little, Y is the caregiver, but you don't think so? Make blog posts about Y being a regressor, make a caregiver moodboard for X.

Don't like romantic themes in a ship everyone ships? Make it familial or platonic.

The point is, fandom agere I feel like can be so gatekept sometimes. People feel like they need to follow rules to avoid being judged, but you don't. Regressing is all about having fun, and making new memories and experiences. I think it's great you have a fandom/character you love enough to go on that journey with. Some of us may not be so good at playing with toys or doing a lot of commonly talked about agere activities, like me. But my characters I love? My art, my writing? Absorbing myself into a fictional safe space I've built is how I play. How I express myself, and I want you to know you can do that in any way you want.

I spent far too long thinking things were wrong or right, that they were taboo or bad in this community when really, I was just disagreeing with the masses about an opinion in fiction. Everyone has different opinions, comfort levels, boundaries on their own works, etc, but as long as you aren't breaking those bounds and are keeping things SFW? Have a blast. This is your coping mechanism, your fandoms, your interests, your things that make you happy. Have the most fun, okay little one?

Okay, babblin' here instead of my caregiving blog because that's almost exclusively for writing and this ones just for me. ANYHOW

I came across something that I think needs to be fixed. Everyone knows about fictional caregivers, right? Those you think would be good caregivers but they exist in fictional media? I have them, and so many other regressors have them, and they're great. I love the media for them.

BUT I present ; fictional tinies. For the flips and caregivers who find fictional characters that are just SO FREAKING BABY that you wanna care for. I think I might've seen it before, but we NEED MORE. I might write my sona and my fictional tinies, and try and find some people who'd like to request that stuff...

BUT WE NEED MORE AGH.

Monster Under The Bed Caregiver

You don't see much of them, but they leave signs to let you know they're there. They'll plug your phone in for you and turn your lights off if you forget. They make sure you're tucked in and comfortable once you're asleep. If your stuffed animal falls off the bed during the night, they'll sneakily set them back on. They protect you from other monsters while you're sleeping and ensure you get a full night's rest. They have a grudge against the closet monster and turn your night light on every time they try to leave since they don't like the light. If you lose something under the bed, they'll push it out when you're not looking.

Middle/Teen Regressor Eva Stratt

Snarky and sarcastic Eva

Stratt who gets ready in the morning by listening to loud music, leaves the bed unmade and slams the door shut - she has to get all of her frustration out before she can go to a meeting

Stratt who eye rolls constantly, is not afraid to huff in annoyance (at least in front of Grace).

Stratt who publicly cringes from hugs and affection. “Ugh! Stop touching me, get off!”, (secretly a total cuddle bug and sleeps with a stuffed animal)

Stratt who loves to get a cup of tea and watch crappy teen dramas before bed. (She still thinks she can predict the ending by using all the plot clues, there are wall boards with string and character photos with connecting red lines and sticky notes with all her theories vs adult her knowing the producers favoured a shocking nonsensical ending)
