Fiddlestan au Stan and Fidds argument Post Weirdmaggedon

Stan is watching the Duchess Approves in the living room as he hears the loud noises of Dipper and Mabel running around from upstairs as they do dumb kid stuff like forcing each other to gross smelling sniff scratch and sniff stickers,he sighs contentedly as he can finally have peaceful quiet moments like this again without having to worry about the portal or Bill hurting his family anymore. He then smiles as he turns up the volume of his favorite show while eating a can of meat. "Ah. This is the life. No Bill,no portal,no apocalypse,just me in my house and my family being left to their own devices. I sure hope this peace sticks forever." Stan says to himself as he enjoys his quiet afternoon,until he heard the rough knocking on the door. He decided to ignore it as he figured it was probably some dumb gnomes trying to get in and steal food again plus he was busy watching the good part where Duchess sues Count Lionel for killing her new husband. But the knocking persisted. He then groans in annoyance as he walked up to the door to answer it as neither the kids nor his brother were around to answer with them being busy having fun elsewhere. To his surprise,Fiddleford Mcgucket was at his door. He tried to not act happy about the southern man finally reaching out after those painful years of watching him lose himself. "What's your business here,Hick?. Tell me now or i'll shut the door on your freakishly long nose." Stan asks as the hillbilly looked at him with his big bright eyes and charming smile while he lightly blushed,the con man almost vomiting from the fact that the southerner STILL makes him feel this way even after how much he hurt him. "Ah just wanted to see Stanferd' so i could show him my new plans for creating a trapping device fer anomalies. And i.. want to talk to you." Fiddleford explains as he stared at the former grifter expectantly. "Ford's not here,Mcgucket. He's chasing some new moth species in the forest. Get lost." Stan says in frustration,not wanting to face his ex despite how his gut tells him that he absolutely needs to and even yearns to. Fidds isn't offended by the man's harshness in the slightest. As based on the things he recollected about the con's behavior through the kids telling him stories about him,he was always a grump who often avoided being "sappy" unless he couldn't take it anymore. "Well fine. I know how bad ya feel about our.. separation,darlin'. Stanferd' has been telling me about your guilt and how bad you took the heartbreak lately ever since he found out about our relationship. If ya really want me to leave again,i understand. Yer probably not ready to talk yet anyway-." Fiddleford remarks as he then tries to walk away,only for the swindler to grab him by the wrist. "Damnit Ford. I can't believe he told you even when i explicitly told him to NOT tell you anything about my pathetic moping over the break up. And uhhh,you can stay. I.. want to talk too." Stan replied as he opened the door a bit wider to let the hillbilly in as Fiddleford enters the building while the con guided him to the kitchen where they can discuss their relationship more comfortably. Stan sat in his chair while Fiddleford sat at the chair in front of him. "So what do you have to say for yourself?. After making me go through that dumb memory gun 'experiment',which was just an excuse to rope me into your problems." Stan says bitterly,leaving out the part where he heavily grieved the southern man after he lost his sanity in the final moments of the memory tapes before the car crash occurred. "Ah never meant to force you into anything back then. You were completely willing to help at first despite you being annoyed at having to be the camera man." Fiddleford explains as he watched the man shift uncomfortably in his seat.

"Well what about the part where you left me after that car crash and made ME fix the portal while i tried to avoid your cult mess?." Stan remarks as he balled his fists in anger while his hands are placed on the table,wanting to retaliate at the hillbilly for making him hurt for so long yet he doesn't as part of him still deeply cares about the nerd. "I- Ah wasn't in my right mind back then and i figured that the entire world was against me with my slipping sanity as well as paranoia. I had to leave,Stanley or else i wouldn't have held onto the sliver of peace i kept before i fully lost mah mind." Fiddleford says as he looked at the man in guilt,but then Stan banged his fist on the table as he couldn't take it anymore. He needed the hillbilly to know how bad he hurt him.

"YOUR peace?. What about me?,huh?. With the little sanity you had during that time,didn't you once think about how much your little memory gun fiasco affected ME?!. YOUR PARTNER?!. Don't you get it,Fiddlesticks?. You HURT me. You left me to suffer from your dwindling mental state and THEN you abandoned me last minute when your mind couldn't take it anymore,leaving ME to cover up all evidence of YOUR insane cult from the house. I spent those days of memory gun testing watching my beloved southern nerd,the person most important to me at the time,destroy himself with a damn memory erasing ray while you never even called or talked to me about what you were going through before you got into that cult." Stan exclaims as he started crying angry tears as Fiddleford gasps in disbelief at his reaction. "Stanley,hun. Ah had no choice!. Ah had no choice but to leave or else you would've been roped in deeper into my problems. I couldn't reach out because i felt like clawing mah skull with every memory erasure!. Do ya know how hard it was to keep it together while knowin' full well that the gun was ruining me?!." Fiddleford says in slight annoyance over the con not considering how he felt at the time. "No no YOU don't understand. Do you know how hard it was for ME,to see your unhinged bastard self everyday while knowing full well that i couldn't talk to you about what happend with your empty noggin?!. I spent half of my life thinking that it was my fault,Fiddleford. I kept thinking that i was the reason why you went back to using that damned gun,i hated myself for never talking about our issues which lead to you using the memory gun with our every argument. Something i didn't know was actually ruining your brilliant mind with every use." Stan explains as he kept crying,more out of sadness and hurt this time instead of rage. "I did everything for you. I protected you from monsters,i made dinner for you even when i was used to living off of granola bars and couldn't cook for shit,i comforted you every time you had nightmares about Ford coming back to hurt you for quitting the project. Yet you still subjected me to that memory gun shit,and you left me despite everything we've been through together. Heh. Every time i get attached to someone,they always leave me in the end. Whether it's Ford,my old heist buddies Jorge and Rico,or you." Stan remarks bitterly as tears fell on his chest while he kept bawling from the horrible heartbreak as Fiddleford took a guilty glance at him,as he never knew how bad his dwindling sanity affected the man until now. "I.. Stanley. I'm so sorry. I- I had no idea that what i did hurt you that much. I never meant to hurt you,i just made a lot of regrettable decisions and my past arguments with you were just the catalyst. It was never your fault,the blame is all on me. I didn't mean to make you suffer with my problems,i sincerely apologize and i feel terrible for doing all of that to you without realizing how much it hurt ya." Fiddleford explains as he expresses genuine regret for his actions,but the con turns his back on him and refuses to accept his apology. "Sorry won't reverse the unimaginable amount of heartbreak you gave me." Stan says in slight annoyance,as he has accepted the man's apology but he's still angry at him for never explaining himself until 30 years have passed.

"Will this change yer mind?." Fiddleford replied as he then kissed the con straight on the mouth as he placed a light peck on his grifter's lips,the man blushing as he pulled away while leaving the man dumbfounded as Stan laughed from being tickled by the hillbilly's trimmed beard. "Ahahahaha! Fidds,your beard made my mouth feel funny." Stan remarks as he smiled at the hillbilly slyly looked at him. "But ah thought you were still mad at me?~." Fiddleford says as he blushes while staring at the con with pure love in his eyes. "I'm not anymore. Now that you gave me that long overdue apology and that great kiss~." Stan replied as he then kisses the southern nerd again,giving him a longgg slobbery smooch as the saliva connecting their lips breaks soon after he pulls away. "Ah missed yer kisses,and that adorable laugh." Fiddleford says as he smiled at the con,with Stan smiling back as he finally got his nerd back. All he wanted was to hear the man apologize,and get his hillbilly back instead of constantly seeing that empty mindless and insane husk that he became everyday,and he got both in one fateful afternoon. "I missed ya too,Fiddlesticks. I'm so glad to have you back. And we have plenty of time to make up for lost time before the kids come over to pester us about our relationship." Stan remarks as he then looked at the nerd with adoring eyes. "I'd like that. But first,let me hold you again like i always did. C'mere." Fiddleford replied as he gestures for the con to come over,which he obliges as he let himself get tightly embraced by the taller elder as he started crying tears of joy as he hasn't had felt the warm touch of his nerd in years (someone help this touch starved man). Fiddleford then winces in guilt as he thought he messed up again. "Hey,what's wrong?. Why are ya cryin' again?." Fiddleford asks as he kept gently holding his grifter in his arms. "N-Nothing. It's just- I haven't felt your warm embrace in such a long time. I'm so happy to feel it again." Stan replied as he smiled at his nerd while Fiddleford sighs in relief. "And am' glad to hold ya again. C'mere,darlin'." Fiddleford says as he then grabbed the man by the shirt collar as he lightly made out with him,with both of them blushing deeply as Fidds gently caressed his con man's face. Stan smiled through the kiss as he realized that he'll finally get to spend the rest of his life with the southern nerd he adores as he makes up for the time that the memory gun robbed from him.

Fiddlestan au memory tapes quick drabble

"So Mcgucket,are you ready to see your memories?" "I don' know. What if ah don't like what i see?" "You have to,it's your only chance of knowing who you are" Mabel remarks as Mcgucket then nods and watches as the braces girl puts in the memory tapes. A young Mcgucket appears on the TV screen as the twins hear a familiar raspy forced cough. "Fiddlesticks,are ya sure that you wanna do this?." Young Stan asks in the background of the video as he holds onto the camera while Fiddleford glares at him. "Of course i'm sure,darlin'. Now get the darn camera rolling. Anyway. My name is Fiddleford Hadron Mcgucket,and i made this new invention so that i can unsee what i just saw. Something terrible. Test 1. Subject name,Fiddleford Mcgucket." Fiddleford remarks as he closes his eyes and blasts the memory gun on himself. The scene then switches to an amazed Fiddleford as the second test comes around. "It worked!. I don't remember a thing!." Fiddleford exclaims as Stan rolls his eyes behind the camera as he does NOT want to do this although he compromised for the sake of his southern nerd. "But ya still remember me,right?." Stan asks as Fiddleford looks at him once more. "Course',Stan sweetheart. Now onto the next test." Fiddleford replied as he left the frame but then before the next tape plays,Mabel gasps in shock from discovering that Stan was actually dating Mcgucket. "GRUNKLE STAN WAS BOYFRIENDS WITH MCGUCKET?!. WHY DIDN'T HE SAY ANYTHING?!." Mabel yells as Fiddleford looks at her confused,as he too doesn't remember being with the con man. "Now i've seen everything. I can't believe it. Grunkle Stan,and the town kook?." Dipper says as he shudders in slight disgust. Fiddleford then expectantly looks at them both. "Look children,ah don' know about me datin' yer uncle either. But before ya start jumping to conclusions,let me see the rest of my memories first " Fiddleford remarks as the twins nod and play the tapes again. A more deranged Young Fiddleford appears onscreen with various crossed out eye symbols in the background. "I made a community where people can use my invention to unsee the things they saw!. The experiment is a success!." Fiddleford exclaims happily as Stan sighs in disbelief in the background. "Fidds,isn't this getting a little out of hand?. This sounds kinda nuts with the whole 'community' thing." Stan asks as he refers to his southerner's cult while worrying for his sanity. "You're nuts!. I'm finally picking up mah life again after that insufferable bastard ruined it and now you're going to get in the way too?!." Fiddleford shouts as the grifter starts to grip the camera harder,if the audible static-y sounds of him playing with the camera are anything to go by. "Jeez. Relax. I'm just worried for ya,y'know?." Stan replied as the southern man ignores his comment and the scene switches to an even more unstable Fiddleford. "I did somethin' bad. This was a mistake,i'm forgettin' my name my job and everything!." Fiddleford says as the scene quickly switches to Day 189.

"I accidentally hit someone with mah car. I feel tegible,t-terrible. Terrible. I've been forgettin' words lately. And Stanley.." Fiddleford remarks as even in his slowly slipping sanity,he holds onto the memory of the grifter whom he has already abandoned at this point. "I seen something!. Something big!." "I realized that i've been losin' mah hair,so i got this hat from a scarecrow!. Get outta here ya darned critters!." Fiddleford says as he tries to shoo various animals away from his place at the dump. Fiddleford then utters incoherent gibberish as he makes a triangle symbol with his fingers over one of his eyes as the tape ends. "Oh, McGucket, I'm so sorry." "Aw, hush. You kids helped me get my memories back, just like you said." "But did you want those memories back?" "After all these years,I finally know who I am. Maybe I messed up in the past, but now that I seen what happened, I can begin to put myself together again." "I won't be able to put MYSELF together again after hearing that you and Grunkle Stan were apparently lovers." Dipper remarks in disgust as Mcgucket and Mabel laugh. The rest of the episode goes exactly as canon,with Mcgucket saving the gang from getting their minds erased by using his own empty mind as a shield as Dipper then erased the Blind Eye Society's memories of their own cult as he and Mabel go home after happily helping the town kook.

Fiddlestan au,post reconciliation musings

Welp this au isn't stopping,i continue to have the Fiddlestan brainworms. I have like two other gf aus to work on but nah brain said gay con man hillbilly au so here y'all go.

• Stan gets REALLY clingy and affectionate with Fiddleford by the time they officially get back together. Because he's secretly afraid of him leaving again and thus he tries to act extra lovey dovey with him in an attempt to make him stay forever but he just ends up smothering the poor southern man. Fidds notices this so he has to reassure the con that he won't be going anywhere as he'll stay with the grifter til' death do they part,this comforts Stan for a while but he still gets antsy when the southerner has to go on errands or something without him. Which goes on to the next point.

• Stan has abandonment issues now. He ended up getting traumatized by the fact that he literally watched his beloved nerd lose himself in real time for years as the hillbilly then NEVER talked to him about the whole ordeal even when he was still sane enough to properly talk about it i.e his time within the Blind Eye Society,like being with Fiddleford was the happiest he's been in his life despite outright avoiding talking about his issues with him only for the man to leave midway into their relationship because of the memory gun (Mcgucket,what the hell have you done to this poor man?). So now Fiddleford has to reassure Stan that he won't be leaving for longer than a few hours/minutes whenever he goes out for groceries or something lest he'd be met with a bajillion texts and missed calls from a very worried,crying con man. Fidds doesn't mind having to do this all the time since it IS his own fault that the man is like this,although sometimes it can get annoying and he regrets leaving Stan for so long because of it.

• Stan and Fidds are switches. Fidds is usually the bottom cuz he's an effeminate scrawny twink but also he likes fucking that smug smirk off of the con's face,meanwhile Stan only bottoms for one very specific reason which is the fact that he can trust the hillbilly to take care of him when he's vulnerable and weak despite otherwise being a tough and macho dom. The toxic masculinity that Filbrick drilled into Stan never went away,but he can forget that for a bit whenever he lets Fidds take control for a few nights.

• Stan and Fiddleford's ideas of a nice date are hilariously contrasting. Stan's idea of a date is a rowdy midnight crime spree with a fancy restaurant dinner at the end while Fidds' idea of a date is a cozy night in reading books or rambling about their lives/interests together while eating some hearty stew. However they find a common ground and eventually compromise by either doing both or by going with the other's idea interchangeably between date nights.

• Fiddleford is riddled with guilt over him indirectly causing Stan to mentally break from his mistakes. He made his grifter have a mini mental breakdown everyday during the building of the portal after the car crash because of how much the man missed him yet couldn't talk to him because of his shattered mental state,he ended up causing his beloved pain because of his darned memory gun invention destroying what they had,and his insane state hurt Stan from the inside whenever he saw him. These are the things that Stan told him after they had another casual talk about their past again,and at this moment Fiddleford realized that he's a terrible partner. He wasn't able to properly process it during their reunion/argument back then as he had to deal with Stan's outburst,but now he can thoroughly feel the shame guilt and anger at himself for doing such horrible things to his grifter. And the worst part is,Stan still stayed even after all of that. He ignored it at first as he didn't want to worry or upset Stan more than he already did,but he eventually couldn't bottle it up anymore as he straight up started sobbing one day while he and Stan were watching TV together. Stan got worried and asked him what was wrong,only for the hillbilly to dejectedly say that he doesn't deserve him. "Oh oh this is the good part where Ducktective has a flipper fight with his brother after he corrected his grammar." Stan remarks as he excitedly watches Ducktective with Fiddleford who's enjoying his beloved's favorite show despite feeling the heavy guilt in his chest. Fiddleford then took a glance at the con,smiling as he looked at him with adoring eyes while the man didn't notice due to being too invested in his favorite program. 'How did fate bring me to this wonderful,goofy man?. He is everything,i want to cherish him forever. He is so forgiving,even when ah.. ruined his life with me leaving.' Fiddleford thought to himself as he felt himself tearing up from guilt and shame from everything he did to Stan. He then starts loudly sobbing,being noisy enough to bring Stan out of his Ducktective obsession induced trance as the grifter noticed him bawling. "Hey- Hey Fiddlesticks,what's wrong?." Stan asks as he then turned off the TV while looking at his hillbilly in concern. "Ah don' deserve you.. I treated you so terribly with that memory gun experiment,and me leaving only to never talk about what happened after that car crash. I forced you to watch me lose mahself in real time,while not realizing how much my dwindling sanity affected you. You warned me about the memory gun and the cult being dangerous,but i didn't listen and i only ended up hurting you further with my mistakes. I'm a terrible partner and you shouldn't have stayed. Why did ya stay?,even after everythin'?." Fiddleford says as he kept crying while looking at the man in guilt. Stan looks at him in shock over such a sudden outburst,but then he sighed in relief as he realized what this is actually about and that he didn't end up saying something dumb that hurt his beloved. "Because being with you was all i ever wanted. Sure you were stubborn with that weird cult stuff and you messed up A LOT but that doesn't give me any reason to stop loving you. I spent those 30 years being angry at you,at myself for what happened but even then i still cared about you and kept worrying about your safety in the dump everyday. You hurt me really bad,and even then my stupid heart still wants you. It's okay Fidds,you don't have to beat yourself up for something that happened years ago. And you ABSOLUTELY deserve me,especially with your kind personality and charming looks." Stan explains as he smiled at the southern man who has his mouth agape in surprise due to how loving and forgiving the con is. "Stanley. Yer a treasure. Why did the universe grace me with such a caring man?." Fiddleford replied as he wiped off his own tears as he kissed the con on the cheek who then blushed from the gesture.

"Well why did the universe give me such a charming nerd?~." Stan teases as the southerner blushed in response. "Oh hush you. C'mere." Fiddleford says as he then grabbed the swindler at the back of his head and pulled him closer to his own face as he kissed him,with him mouthing the con's lips as they lightly made out. The hillbilly groans in delight as he's glad that Stan doesn't hate him for what he did and he truly DOES want to stay rather than feeling obligated to like the little negative voice in his head said.

• Ford supports his brother's relationship with his best friend,although he could've been given a heads up before discovering them roughly making out in the kitchen. He already knew about it the moment Stan got his memories back and ended up telling him about the hillbilly,which is why he told Fiddleford about how much Stan was hurting from his mistakes soon after being given knowledge of their horrible break up (that one part in the argument drabble). He is totally fine with his best friend dating his twin however he can and will kill Fiddleford if he catches the southerner breaking Stan's heart again.

• Fiddleford absolutely KNOWS that Stan is touch starved after going without any affection from him for years,which is why he makes sure to hug him kiss him and caress him every time he sees him. Also another thing related to this point,Stan is fucking HUNGRY for Fidds after 30 years of not tasting his lips or feeling his member so the two make sure to fuck often.

• Fidds and Stan make sure to ACTUALLY talk about their issues this time in their relationship as refusing to communicate was what indirectly lead to their relationship falling apart with the hillbilly opting to use the memory gun after every argument while the con buried his feelings until they burst back then. They do it even if it's scary or confusing,as they need to otherwise they'll end up with heartbreak and hurt again.
