Should you feel like reading an angsty Klaus & Ben one shot featuring late nights on rooftops, sad theories on Ben's death, and family feuds no one wants to be a part of
Aight so y'all ended up expressing quite some interest in my DnD OC (13 whole notes, yell heah) so here's a bit of info on them!
Sorry I can't provide you with a drawing although if anyone can i will actually cry
///
Name: Wes (or, in their culture, Wes-with-no-eyes)
Species: changeling
Gender: changes with skins, usually female
Class: bard, with some training in healing
Appearance: tends to almost always stick with the skin of a simple human girl with long red hair, pale skin, mismatched freckles, and milky eyes. Did I mention Wes is blind? Because that's uh kinda a Big Thing
Fun Facts: Since they're blind, Wes can only shift into skins when they have a rough idea of the facial/body structure. This is done by feeling someone up tracing someone's features and trying their best to replicate them
Hair color is a fucking pain in the ass, but they think they're getting the hang of it
They have like three skins they think they've perfected-- one's an elf, one's a half-orc, and one is Nerris (to be discussed in a bit)
They're kind of a loner but you know what they like it that way! It's not like they're both extroverted and in literal need of people to help them navigate areas and shift into things, no sir
One of their favorite activities is to ask people to describe colors to them
The other is to knock shit over
Literal cat
Became a bard because hey, they might not be able to fucking see, but doesn't that just mean they have double hearing potential? uwu
Honestly kind of an asshole, but like. In a good way
Has never met another changeling as far as they can remember
Horny on main but also perfectly content being single
Backstory: Nothing is known about Wes's life pre-Nerris, Nerris being the girl whose skin she's constantly wearing.
Wes's life took a turn the moment they woke up lying in a forest in the skin of a half-orc next to some girl's dead body.
Wes for the life of them could not think of anything that could have happened to lead them to this situation-- only that the girl next to them somehow felt both oddly familiar and completely foreign when they traced her features.
Wes, being an absolute genius, deduced that whatever the case was, some shit must have gone down the other day that they, as a changeling (and thus kind of not liked by default), would much rather not deal with. So they decided to shift back to their original form and take the fuck off.
The problem?
Along with not for the life of them being able to remember who this girl was and how they'd been roped into this situation, they could also not for the life of them remember their original form.
Which like, shouldn't be a problem because they're a changeling and forms are fluid and all, but. Look they don't have to explain themself to you, okay??
This led to Wes shifting as best as they could into the skin of the deceased girl, snipping off a bit of her hair for color reference, and promptly storming off to get some answers, no matter how long it might take.
This is what leads us to Wes's
Goals: To find out who this girl was so they can by extent trace their steps back to their original form. It's a tricky goal since they're, yknow, fucking blind, but they're working on it. So far they have only one clue, and it's that this girl's name was Nerris.
I feel like he'd try, but never manage to completely adapt to the change. Wendy is similar to Kyle, but not exactly-- she lacks all the moral shades and emotional complexity Kyle has. At least to me. And, by extent, to Cartman.
See, where both Wendy and Kyle might be the Voices of Reason, Kyle has the habit of coming across as a self righteous little shit in his interpretation of it. And I think it's that in part that delights Cartman as much as it does. Prodding Wendy probably would be an okay placeholder for him at first, but the lack of "im getting mad at you because i know im supposed to and also it makes me a Good Person uwu" and temper tantrums and predictability he's gotten used to seeing in Kyle would be the ultimate turn-away
Also like. You can't go all that time ragging on someone and developing a slow but steady mutual semi romantic rivalry only to toss it out the window because someone else is vaguely similar agshgsg
TLDR: no matter the case Cartman will somehow end up running after our beloved Jersey boy :')
"Hey... what does love feel like?"
your friend gives you a weird look, and you stumble over your words hurriedly, trying to justify them: "To you, at least. I don't know, I'm just curious to hear everyone's interpretation, I guess."
her creased brow flattens out again, and she hums in understanding. "Don't you have a boyfriend?" she teases. "Don't you already know?"
you laugh, and elbow her, and laugh some more.
she thinks she's so funny, your friend.
after a minute, she speaks again.
"Love..." she says, and the wistful expression in her eyes makes your heart sink to your stomach. "Love is when you surrender yourself to someone. It's being open with someone, but not being afraid of it. Being vulnerable and secure at the same time."
she pauses and looks at her nails. they're trimmed short. they were long when you first met her, then trimmed into small neat crescents when she started first going out with her girlfriend-- they're still like that now, although it's been four months since they broke up. some things don't change.
"It's not being able to imagine life without them," she says.
"Oh," you say. you don't know what else to say. you don't know what you expected. something a little more realistic than all the poetry people in relationships keep on spouting off to you, maybe, since she's had her heart broken. but maybe she is being realistic, with her honeyed words and starry eyes.
maybe love is like poetry.
maybe you're just doing it wrong.
"I don't think I feel like that," you say. it's a shameful admittance, but you're so tired, and so worried, and so, so empty.
your friend gives you another weird look. "You're not in love with your boyfriend?"
"Not like that," you tell her. you shift the weight from the books you're carrying from one arm to the other, then back again, as if arranging your school supplies will help arrange your thoughts as well. "I just really like being around him. And I think about him a lot. And I'd be really upset if we broke up, I think."
you pause, desperately trying to think of something to say about the way he makes you feel that sounds less formal. something that makes you feel like poetry.
nothing comes up.
"You're not in love with your boyfriend?" your friend repeats. she almost looks offended.
you look at the ground. "I hope I am."
she laughs. "Wow. What kind of answer is that? 'I hope I am?' If you don't love him--"
"Honestly, at this point, I don't think I know what love is," you snap. "When I ask, I either get assholes waxing poetry at me, or singing baby don't hurt me, which like, okay, but still."
there's a beat of silence, and you look up at the clock hanging overhead. the bell is going to ring soon, and your class is across the hall.
you shift your books again, and get ready to go.
poetry. love is like poetry. i don't feel poetry. i don't think i'll ever feel poetry. poetry is supposed to make you want to follow a man into a distant land, or rescue a girl from a tower far away. i don't think i'd ever do these things. i'd weigh the pros and cons, then proceed accordingly. that's not poetry. that's not love. love is unconditional. do i love my boyfriend unconditionally? no. yes. no. no. no. yes. no. maybe. what does he make me feel like? it's not poetry. what does he make me feel like? is it love? but i don't want to follow him into a distant land, or rescue him from a tower, or risk my life so he can live his. it's not love. it might be. i don't know. it's not poetry though. what does he make me feel like? it's not poetry. what does he make me feel like? it's not poetry. what does he make me feel like? it's
"Home," you finally say, and you feel so, so old when you say it. like you've lived a thousand lifetimes, each stretching on longer and longer than the last. "I feel like I'm at home when I'm with him. And maybe that's all love will ever be for me."
your friend shakes her head. she's not smiling, but she looks like she's thinking about it. "I used to feel like my girlfriend was my home too," she says. the corner of her mouth quirks up. "You're such a logical person."
and, it's weird, but of everything said today it's that that makes you feel better.
Sero Hanta Headcanons
-Vegan. Tried to wheedle Kaminari into trying it as well, but Kaminari loved grilled cheese too much to fully commit
-11/10 loves fishing, it's become a regular part of his Sunday routine. Mina calls him out on it though, because “you're vegan, right? you don't even eat fish. so aren't you just like….killing them for no reason like the very industry you're going against?” and Sero has a vegan existential crisis
-He resolves the crisis by using the fish he catches to feed the stray cats in his neighborhood. He ends up getting a bit of a reputation amongst them, so now whenever he rides by them on his bike some of them try to run after him meowing for food
-This is how he ends up adopting one into his house
-Yes mom, the cat was that persistent. No, he'll pay for everything, she doesn't have to worry about a thing. Yes, she is adorable. No, she said he could get a gift for managing to get into UA, and yes, this is definitely what he wants. TLDR her name is Marmalade and there's no going back now
-Lives in a single mother household in an apartment right by the seaside
-All his friends pegged him to be an older brother, but he's actually an only child. The Big Brother™ vibes he gives off are a mystery
-Has like 600 cousins. He babysits the younger ones sometimes when he wants to make some extra cash
-Learned to ride a bike when he was 12, and still uses training wheels is still learning
-He's the main reason the beach he lives by had to put up a “PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE SEAGULLS” sign. In turn, the seagulls are the main reason he has 715 followers on his blog
-Well, that, and his killer moodboards. He takes requests, but his favorites are the ones he makes, unprompted, for his friends. His heart swells twelve sizes when he sees one of them using theirs as a lock screen
-Genuinely gets distressed when someone says they're a flat-earther
-The only one of the squad who can moonwalk
-Is frequently teased for his height although now that everyone is getting older, he's not actually the tallest anymore. He is baffled by these jokes.
Mina: hey sero, how's the weather up there 😂😂
Sero:
Sero: we're the same height??
-Loves podcasts, but isn't caught up, so please don't spoil him 🙏
-Tried to get his friends into them. Had a ¾ failure rate. Kaminari couldn't focus, Mina thought it was boring listening to other people talk, and Bakugo couldn't be bothered. Only Kirishima finally gave in. He and Sero mainly talk about headcanons and theories for upcoming episodes when they hang out-- Kirishima is the main cause for Sero's spoilers :’)
-Buys all his clothes at a second-hand thrift shop, usually a size larger so he doesn't give into capitalism can accommodate his quirk. Baggy clothes all the way for this boy.
-The minute Mina bought him his first bandana to keep his hair back with, it was over for the era of long hair Sero
-Although he lives on the first floor of his apartment, Kaminari insists on him using his quirk like rope so he can scale it whenever he comes to pick him up for a date visit
Kaminari, probably: dude come on it's all cool and romantic. like rapunzel! sero, oh sero, let down your long tape~
Sero, wincing as he overuses his quirk just so his dumbass friend (?) doesn't have to climb one story’s worth of stairs: yeah just like rapunzel
-Definitely plays as a bard in his squad's D&D campaign
-Has a playlist full of ambiguous music used to meditate with and help him fall asleep
-Insecurities? Surrounding his self-worth and quirk??? Haha, none of those here, no sir :))
-Learned how to make friendship bracelets two years ago and hasn't stopped since. Everyone in class 1a has at least one. Kaminari has three
-Scientifically proven to be one of two Best Boys
Something I feel we, as the already limited Ojiro-stanning side of the fandom tend to ignore is exactly how bitchy our son can be.
Like yeah, he's still plain and noble and hardworking and all that jazz, but he's also...
#hagakure tooru happiness crusher since 2017
Sassing the principal in my good Christian anime
Being a passive aggressive little shit to someone with social anxiety, babe what the fuck
I'm telling y'all, when Ojiro stepped down from that tournament some of his politeness stepped down with him smh
Still love him though
I remember a while ago I was in the metro and I saw a girl with sunkissed skin, a suitcase bearing patches from all the places she'd visited, and the messiest bob cut I'd ever seen
And I remember staring at her, then staring way again just as fast when she smiled at me
And I remember thinking that I never knew people could be art too.

Που ο άνεμος κουβαλάει
Πέρα από την πατρίδα της
Χυμένη σε ξένα χέρια.
