Hikari was in awe, mouth agape and eyes wide, twinkling with curiosity and fascination. How she arrived here was a blur, but needless to say, she knew she wasn't in the Ascencian north anymore.

She had no idea where she was going, but she would take the opportunity to explore her new surroundings. From the architecture and infrastructure to the way the people dressed. However, compared to the people she'd walk past, she stood out terribly in a cloak and kimono.

So, she did what any logical person would do: she approached a stranger and asked about where she was.

And, as would be her luck, the people she approached didn't appear to be very friendly.

"Hello! My name is Hoshino Hikari, and I'm a bit lost. Would you be so kind as to help me? I was wondering where exactly this is and how I might return home," she asked with a friendly smile, completely unaware she was going to be scammed out of her money.

Edward approached the grand sorceress. "Excuse me miss. We met before. But I've had a question since we've met." He looked up at her. "Why are you so tall?" Ah, that's his question.

"The results of my age."

Well, she seemed hardly phased by such a question, clearly she has been asked this before.

"You seem, I am quite, quite old, I believe a youth saying for this is 'as old a dirt', which in some cases is correct. And in that time, I haven't stopped growing. The rate of my growth has slowed tremendously, yes, but not ceased entirely."

Well, well, well...my how the turns have tabled. Carmilla looked up and inspected the situation, or rather Edward's predicament with a quiet snort. I have a right mind to leave you here after that business with those ropes of yours but uh I gotta ask...How did you get up there?

Atieno couldn't help but found themself almost... impressed by the sheer sight of all these pillows. "Hello.. and yes, I am. Interesting that this seems to be working and you seem to enjoy it? Even better."

And so they carefully climb up the mountain of pillows to get a little closer.

Edward looked at Ann. He quietly put down some papers. "Well, its only temporary, but you are a registered citizen." He said. "Congrats. You... Also live here... And work for me." He sighed as he slumped and sat down in a chair feeling tired. "That was a day."

Ann crossed over to stand beside him, and leaned down, giving Edward a gentle hug. "Thank you... This means so much to me, you know... Everything you've done for me... And obviously, since I'll be working for you, I'll be doing my best every single day! To start with... can I get you something to eat? A hot moist towel for your joints? Bucket of hot water to soak your feet?" She offered up as many things as she could think of to help him destress.
