The Medical from Final Combat (which is a weird Chinese TF2 knockoff)
Today, Jesus is holding:
The Medical from Final Combat
Remember that stupid Chinese TF2 rip off, 'Final Combat'? Yeah.. I redesigned them( I guess ???) and I felt like drawing them for some reason. I had videos on the process, but they got corrupted and I'm still upset about it.
I just want to say I am so sorry, not only to the Fandom, But Valve and Team Fortress as a whole about this grim reminder of that this shit existed.
FINAL COMBAT: CHINA’S BOOTLEG TEAM FORTRESS 2 - Post 10 of ?

You probably thought I was done, huh? Went nearly half a year without posting more stuff from Final Combat right?
Well guess what? Still not done yet...And with good reasoning too, as Final Combat’s actually shutting down early next month! So before that goes extinct I might as well post the last few alt. skin sets!
And yep, it’s shutting down. No real reason was given from what I was able to translate, but if I had to guess it would be A) Dwindling/Non-existent playerbase and B) Everyone moved onto PUBG.
Now this is one of my favorite set because we’ll kinda in a middle ground of classic TF2 cartoonish looks and the anime look that would bleed into later updates of FC.
These were released alongside a new game mode that had something to do with land grabs, so maybe it was KOTH? Who knows, the pages on the FC site barely work and I grabbed all the art months ago.
But what you can find is the flavor text translated by someone over on TVTropes!
Anywho that’s 1 of the final 4. Come back tomorrow for more.

Well gang, here we are. The end of the road with Final Combat and the last skin set that was released. Got no flavor text with, nor do I have any update information anymore since the website is still breaking at the seams.
But iirc, the update introduced a new map/mode that was KOTH styled? I don’t know, but I do know that I dig these armor designs. Too bad I couldn’t find anything higher rez, so I took what I had and thew it into waifu2x in an attempt to clean off some of that JPG fuzz.
And that my friends was Final Combat, China’s now-on-it’s-deathbed TF2 bootleg that’s going down early next month. And what a visual trip this was archiving all these alt. skins. We started with a good style copy of TF2 and ended on anime/generic China MMO fantasy fare.
It’s a shame that it’s closing down...Ok, not really because we’re not losing anything all that important. It’s not like TF2 itself is dead or anything, but we are losing an interesting piece of modern day bootleggery.
A piece of bootleggery that I wished I did more archiving on, but I was only able to rip so much from the website and other sites reporting on the game. I can only hope I find more concept artists portfolios once it’s completely gone or that the website starts working again before the final shut down.
But until then, I’ll see you down the road Final Combat.

And just when I thought these designs couldn’t be anymore my cup of tea.
Ok that’s not fair. I’m not a big Steampunk guy myself, but I do dig a few of these designs.
Otherwise? It’s just whatever. I kinda doubt that Steampunk is a popular aesthetic in China, but I’m sure there was one or two players who loved these.
