Final Confession

Freydis had to take a deep breath to prepare herself. But, how was she supposed to prepare herself to tell him what she had to? She knew now that she was with child, and Ivar was leaving. He deserved to know the truth, at this point, and...

She thought she’d seen change in him. Somehow, she didn’t think he would hurt her, or try to kill her, once she told him the truth. Well... she hoped that was true, anyhow. The Viking really didn’t want to be nearly murdered again. Or, even worse...

A small shake of her head- she wasn’t going to let herself think about that for too long.

Freydis bit her lip briefly, took one more deep breath, making sure she was as calm and confident as she was able to be, and she knocked on the door that she now knew to be his. This wasn’t something she could let him go without knowing.

Final Confession

He tried, but couldn't. He couldn't stop my tears. "At least make me fuckin' understand what are you feeling!" He yelled at me, slowly loosing his patience. It was over an hour. He found me alone in the park we used to go as kids, against a tree, crying. Around 6 pm, I guess. "You can't...you never will," I said between my sobs, which grew louder. He realised and apologised soon. "Look," he said, "I'm sorry for yelling. But I'm worried for you." "Is it about something that happened recently?" He asked, hoping to figure out what was happening. "It's about what have always happened to me," I say, finally sobering down, no more tears streaming down my face. "Something 'bout your family?" He asked. I shooked my head. "About your friends?" Once again, I shooked my head. "About me?" I looked at him for a moment, then broke from his piercing eyes. I slowly nod. He looked a bit shocked, but asked the most obvious question, "What about me?" "You didn't let me move on," I began, "Everytime I see you with her, it kills me. Everytime I see you , I die a little more. We drifted apart, and I let you go, but you didn't. I tried to move on and accept that you loved her, but you smiled again at me and ruined it all. You held on me while all I needed was to be set free, my heart got killed, and you became it's murderer." I pushed myself from the ground and started to walk from there before a new set of tears covered my face. "Wait," he spoke up, "Do you mean you like me?" I stopped in my tracks and slightly glance at him from my shoulder. I weakly smiled at him and said, "I don't know if I love you anymore. Goodbye."

Final confession

Then I will pretend as if the things that happened, as well as the feelings that were attached to them never occurred as well. I remember one night in particular, when the words “I don’t love you, but I feel as if it could grow into that.” Came out my mouth. Due to being worried of sounding creepy..

I LIED

What was supposed to come out was. “I do love you, and given a little bit of time, if this is who you really are, and if I am what you really want..Than I believe I could fall in love with you. I will give put every ounce of effort into what we could build that I see you put forth yourself.” Now, since I have finally said it...It will NEVER be spoken of again.
