The crew is complete! - last minute touches to Bruce thanks to one of my mentors. I’m finally happy to have completed the shark crew. ⚓️🦈🪝

I knew there was something not quite right with Bruce, but now I’m happy, and he wouldn’t be complete without his mates beside him! This was such a great experience to learn form a professional, and how he tutored me into knowing the value of character design and packaging.

A lot goes into it, but fun also matters to be relatable to what you create. Thank Jeff Merghart💙🙏 Given back to back, how Monsters and Finding Nemo have influenced my life.

The Finding Nemo discord server is fueling my desire to draw more of my FN-sona / fin-sona / sharksona/ fursona-but-fish-self, etc. I love zebra sharks so much— very lovable, very chill sharks that are unfortunately endangered.

I’m neither a fast nor high-energy person (not unless pushed), so zebra sharks are a very fitting species for me!

WIP or a final test of utilising the Jaw mechanism in animation, and non other than my AU Oc - Beast Bruce with his signature bite which is where he was dubbed ‘the snap’! Before he called it quits on scaring, which goes with his character being a big old softie, despite what you see. 🩵🦈

I love even these short seconds of animation - while it can chew up a day’s work, I’m feeling confident with how I’m approaching the squash and stretch effect!

‘Why trust a shark? Right?’ - because they can be very gentle & affable creatures, even the big ones, which Ryan has learnt a lot while spending time with Uncle Bruce! 💙🦈

Suffice to say, Bruce soaks up any, & all of Ryan’s shenanigans, seeing a rambunctious and inquisitive, younger version of himself!

Ryan’s first encounter with my Monsters Inc / Finding Nemo AU - Beast Bruce🦈

Barry Humphries brought so much to the table with this loveable shark, and when I created my AU of Monster Bruce, I wanted to bring him to life. ✨

There are some tweaks I would change but overall, push backs in between, & a month’s work combined into this project, I’m pleased to see how it turned out! 💙🖊️
