Just varnished some of my paintings, and my PhD work too. Finally totally finished these drawings and paintings with their mixed media frames, no wood no glass even for pencil drawings, the artwork can't be separated from it's frame. I started to design mixed media frames as part of my paintings, so they can't be separated, in 2015, when I was doing my PhD practical work that was inspired by Islamic miniatures, after finishing my PhD in 2017 I started to make more frames for some my old paintings, and just finished them this year. So I have been working for five years now to experiment With different materials and to develop my techniques in making frames, and I still need to work more to achieve the perfect result that I want. Although I like this sort of frames for my own work, I'm not really sure if it will be the same for other artists, as it's time consuming and needs more materials to be finished well, so it is more expensive than other regular frames that they can buy easily from any frame maker. Hopefully I will take another step forward to make frames in a more faster and less expensive way, but for now I just want to celebrate this moment in this post, and may be with other posts later showing photos of the making process. #fineart #frames #fineartframes #fineartsframing #artframe #finearts #abstract #landscape #painting #drawing #art #botanicalart https://www.instagram.com/p/B9d7-nwHx1y/?igshid=zv2dqevatyco
