–––––––––––– “ FUCKING HELL. ” as the cold winds of the city pierced the boy’s cheeks, a rosy blush naturally fanned across nico’s tanned skin. he hadn’t prepared for the chilly weather, lazily throwing on a wrinkled plain black tee with some ripped jeans before reluctantly leaving his apartment. he couldn’t recall the last time he’d seen his friends, perhaps that’s why he felt obligated to meet them at their favorite bar .. of course after they had to call and beg multiple times. keeping his head down, he snaked his way through the crowded new york streets, muttering half-hearted apologies whenever he’d bump into someone. with his long legs, it didn’t take long before he found himself leaning against a subway handrail. yanking his phone from his back pocket, he attempted to distract himself with the lit up screen, however finding it oddly difficult to do so. his eyes shifted over the same tweet multiple times-- over and over. he tried to read the sentence word by word yet unable to comprehend what exactly he was looking at. it was like his mind was combusting, a powerful feeling dropping to the pit of his stomach, causing his lungs to collapse. AM I HAVING A STROKE? panic clear on his face, his blurry eyes darted around the cabin, wondering if he was the only one feeling this way. the unnerving feeling hit him so fast he didn’t even have time to truly register what was happening. but as his eyes moved face to face, suddenly- all the anxiety vanished within a millisecond, and instead was replaced with a subtle spark, leaving gentle tingles all over his body. taking in a much deprived deep breath, he frantically blinked away the haze, his sight now focused on captivating green hues. he knew the rules of society, it was polite to stare. but god he had never seen anything more beautiful. he was simply bewitched, and he knew he’d be damned if he even thought of looking away. @finelinc
