Happy 2-year anniversary to All the Bright Places!
All the Bright Places debuted two years ago today. It's hard to find words to express my gratitude for everything that's happened since, and for everyone I've met because of it.
From my remarkable, superhero agent to my brilliant editor to my wonderful publishing teams to the incredible booksellers, educators, and librarians who have put the book into the hands of the readers who needed it most.
The reviewers and bloggers and YouTubers and members of the media who embraced it and spread the word. The amazing editors and staff of Germ Magazine, who brought Violet's vision to life. My dynamite assistants, Briana, Lara, and Shelby.
The film team and Elle Fanning for seeing its big-screen potential months before the book was even published. The film's director for believing I was the only one who could write the script.
The 41 foreign territories that translated Finch and Violet's story so that people around the globe could read it. The lovely Zoella for choosing it for the launch title of her book club. My fellow authors, who have been nothing but lovely and supportive and encouraging. My family. My friends. My literary cats.
And, most of all, my readers. You are the best and the brightest. You are all the colors in one, at full brightness. You make me lovely. You make me smile. You hold up my universe, and I feel so lucky to be on this journey with you. Thank you for all you mean to Violet, Finch, and me. I love you endlessly! <3
