when you post a video on tiktok that saying “they had so much potential why do people have to be homophobic” and everyone assumes you’re talking about Supernatural but you’ve never watched an episode of Supernatural in your life and you were actually just crying over the potential that Finn and Poe from Star Wars had.

I know it’s been almost 5 years since Force Awakens came out but I still can’t get over the amount of chemistry between them and they were done so dirty in the end.

OH BOY OKAY I HAVE M A N Y THOUGHTS WHERE TO BEGIN -

Like, I’m obviously a super trash blog for Reylo but my oh my do I live for some finnpoe!! I’m honestly so upset that they did them so dirty in tros. But also kinda not? Because I DO feel like we got some really amazing moments and after seeing it again for the second time today I really FELT like I was just watching an onscreen couple already.

Like. They totally act like they’re already in a relationship and have been for many many years?! The way they argue, the way they embrace, the way they openly and honestly express so much emotion to each other is just glorious

And I especially love how my sister pointed out something new to me. I was so wrapped up in ‘Poe is so gay for Finn’ and how it’s so obvious and I got so upset at Disney for adding all these ‘other’ love interests to try to ‘cover them up’ - but I didn’t even let myself believe that they could be bi? And I felt TERRIBLE for being a part of bi-eraser culture like that, but it’s totally possible for Poe to have an ex girlfriend and still be into men. It’s possible for Finn to have strong feelings for Rey and Joanna and Rose and still be romantically interested in a man.

I’m just a little upset that what we got was only a tiny hinging/glimpse of gays in space instead of full on GAYS in SPACE.

Edit: I’m also a LOT upset that we never got to have Finn and Poe react to Ben Solo!?! Can you imagine the incredibly strong ‘gay dad’ vibes they would pull on Rey? ‘This man isn’t good enough for you’ ‘but Finn, he did save her life and we have to thank for her being alive-’ ‘KYLO REN IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY DAUGHTER BACK OFF POE’ ‘DONT YOU DARE YELL AT ME STORM TROOPER’ ‘OH?! OH THIS ARGUMENT AGAIN?!?’ ‘guys... c’mon not in front of my new boyfriend...’

But these are just my musings. Who else has thoughts about this that they’d like to share??
