need urgent help! Gillbert seems to have either early stages of fin rot or a fungal infection, but I dont know which! His tail has seemed to have been fused or clamed at the black spot on the end of it, and has done the same to the top of his tail, and has even got to his back fin! I have cleaned his tank before he went in, and cleaned all the decorations, substrate and even his filter. So none of those items could have possibly caused this, right? And his tank is warm, around 75-80°. Ive noticed the black spot on his tail when I first got him, but I thought it was part of his coloration. :(

  It was night and the beach and docks were empty. Curious as he was, a Killer Whale mer made his way to the shore. He wanted to spend some time on the beach to check out a bit of the human world. However, it didn’t get that far.

  As soon as he reached the docs, he noticed something in the water. It looked like another mer. Keith made his way over, finding a very sick looking mer who probably wouldn’t be able to swim very far. Finrot, mainly.. but his colors had faded too.. He was pretty sure that the other wouldn’t get too far.

  So he decided to help. He made his way over to the other mer.

My little guy, Buddy, is not doing very well at all. I put him in a mini tank with low water, so he can get air easily. This is where he’ll live out the rest of his fish life. 😞 #dropsy #finrot #myBuddy

Need some thoughts on Igny's fins. They've been getting worse and I'm not 100% Sure why. I'm thinking fin rot but it doesn't look the same as when Age had it.

Fin Rot?

What have you guys tried and had work? I've been doing major water changes and poor Darth Maul isn't improving. He's had fin rot since I got him.

It's hard to see but I think Vulcan might be biting his tail. I've had him and my other fish Apollo in a divided tank and they were alright but occasionally, Apollo will flare at Vulcan. I've added as many plants as I can. I can't move him back to his old tank, one because my mom took it for her betta and two because it was only one gallon and he never even swam. Neither of the fish are showing signs of being stressed I think. They're swimming around and not spending all of their time at the divider so I don't know what's wrong. Look closer at Vulcan's fins, I can see that the ends are a tiny bit beige. I don't know what to do, please help bettablr, I don't want my fish baby to die :(

OK i’m dedicating a whole post to this. Is that dark spot on his fin a fungal or parasitic infection? Do i need to go out and get medication for him? I am moving him out of this cramped bowl and into a 5.5 gal as soon as it finishes cycling. And if this is something i need to treat please tell me i want to be able to medicate him ASAP!!

Really Stubborn Fin rot

Blane has fin rot. He’s had it for about a month now, and obviously I’ve been treating, but...it’s getting worse. Params are 0, 0 and 0 and water changes are at least twice a week. I’ve tried a small dose of salt within the tank for two weeks and paraguard for a week following that. No luck. His tank is well-planted, there are no other tank mates (other than bladder/pond snails) and I’m assuming the next stage is a salt dip. Definitely concerned about that, as I have no desire to cause him more stress. Is there anything else I can do?
