I love my ocs
Fun fact; white, apparently, is quite a normal color for flames. Another fun fact; magnesium sulfate - aka Epsom Salts, often used for medical purposes - burns white. Quite fitting for a healer, don't you think?
A Quiet Moment
A doodle of my atla OC Rumi and a friend of mine’s OC, Yan Hu. Hope you enjoy~
"I'm so tired."
Introducing an avatar the last airbender oc (like, the millionth one.)
This is Rumi. She's a lightning bender but she uses it to treat pain (and maybe as a defibrillator?)
She doesn't like firebending because of an accident with it early on. Also she's incredibly calm in demeanor so lightning meshes better. Definitely embodies the "cold blooded fire" better than most. She also doesn't like to use it for combat (anti-confrontational to a tee).
I'm thinking she lives in some rural village treating people who come her way. She's a recluse. And shy.
(As always, click for better quality.)
Meet my ATLA ocs: Kalia and her twin sister, Deja. These two were born to a water bender father and a non bender mother, their mother was born in the fire nation but grew up in the earth kingdom and had no idea that she had fire bending in her heritage until her husband’s bender genes unlocked it and they were blessed with Deja. The twins struggled growing up, Deja being abused by her earth nation classmates for being a fire bender despite having only been a baby when Firelord Ozai was defeated by Avatar Aang and Kalia learning early on that when it came to protecting her little sister violence was a question and the answer was yes. As they grew up, the two of them realised that they wouldn’t really fit into either the water tribes of their father or the fire nation of their mother’s heritage so, at the age of 19, they parted ways: Kalia going to the Northern Water Tribe and Deja travelling to the fire nation capital. For two years, they were separated before their homesickness took over and they reunited at their parents house. Deciding to stay together, the twins joined a travelling circus where they wouldn’t have to worry about fitting into either world and were judged on their skill, not their bloodline or bending.
Kalia has a tendency to be hot headed, rushing into things without thinking and attacking first. When it comes to her sister and her friends safety, she doesn’t pull punches. In the two years that Kalia and Deja were separated, Kalia managed to get herself banned from 8 towns in the earth kingdom (she got bored halfway through her training and went walk about) and 6 small villages in the North Pole. Deja only becomes aware of this when she tries to enter a town in the earth kingdom to buy vegetables and is run out because she and Kalia have the same face.
Deja is quiet, calculating and often considered cold but in reality she’s a massive marshmallow. She’s a planner, a strategist and a builder, always aiming to leave places better than she left them. Heavily inspired by the tale of Fire Lord Zuko when he tried to help an earth kingdom town and was abused because he was a fire bender, she’s relentless and insistent when it comes to helping people. Despite the absolute shit she got growing up, Deja wants to prove to Kalia that she doesn’t need defending and that she can fight her own battles. Each of her tattoos have meaning to her and she had them inked onto her body by the fire sages she was staying with. Deja is very spiritual and is connected to the spirit world in most aspects of her life, using her fire to heal instead of fight. The Phoenix on her shoulder represents moving past the timid, abused child she had been when she was at school and becoming someone her sister and parents would be proud of (they were already very proud of her). She has the symbol of the water tribe to commemorate her sister and a sun to commemorate the fire sages. Her arrow reminds her to stay on track and make her own path.
I hope you like my ocs!!!! I’ll be drawing more of them in the future!
#20 Day Avatar Drawing Challenge: Draw yourself as a bender
I´d be a fire bender! Not only becus I´m an Aries and Aries´ natural element is fire, but also becus I liked it the most since forever! And of course: I wear the firelord bun every day anyway! So it just has to be fire... Maybe one day I´ll be the firelord....
Please tag me, if you do this too! I wanna see yours! ♥
I’ve been drawing a lot of my bendersona lately. So here have the probender Loira.
The bottom two pictures of her when she was younger.
