A very varied day. From visiting the serene cave temples of Dambulla. Obviously Buddhist. Five caves with many Buddhas, from 1st century. Then it was a herb and spice garden with explanations about the Ayuvedic properties of lots of plants. In the hand is a nutmeg. The outer red is mace. The inside, when dried and the outer shell removed I'd nutmeg. The other photo is of a fire walker rubbing himself with fire - like I said s varied day. Now in Kandy. Nice colonial style hotel and wifi in our rooms.
I do love me some fire walkers.
