Day Seven - Christmas dialogue prompt 40 "I don't trust you to carve the turkey. I'm politely asking you to step away." with Evan Buckley & the FireFam

Bobby’s meals were always your favorite, no matter the season. So it was no surprise when you, along with the rest of your station members, were crowded around the counter, drawn in by the smell of the turkey.
The station had been decorated profusely by you and Chim, along with the reluctant Eddie and Buck, who were forcefully dragged into the process when there were things that neither of you were able to reach. It was festive enough, with the railings wrapped in glittering tinsel, little clipart Christmas trees taped to walls. Fake snow was even sprayed around the edges of the changing room windows.
Everyone was beginning to get impatient as Bobby checked on the gravy, leaving the turkey and carving utensils out for anyone to grab as they pleased. And, to no one’s surprise, the first to reach for them was Buck. Luckily, before any damage could be done, Bobby turned to catch Buck with his hand wrapped around the knife.
“I don’t trust you to carve the turkey.” Bobby said, reaching for the knife as Buck pouted. “I’m politely asking you to step away, Buck. Before you cause any damage to the bird and somehow make our dinner inedible.”
“C’mon, Bobby, I’ve carved a turkey before.” Buck whined. When he caught the disbelieving looks from his fellow firefighters, including yourself, he only sighed. “Fine, maybe I’m lying. But now would be a good time to start, right? I mean, I’m gonna have to learn someday,”
“No, Buck, you cannot carve the turkey.” Bobby interjected, harmlessly pointing the knife at the younger firefighter.
An upset whine fell from the firefighter’s lips and the group laughed. Eddie came over to him, clapping a hand on his shoulder as he led the blond over to the table, the group following closely behind. Christmas at the 118 was always your favorite time of year, and you wouldn’t trade it for the world.
