Padding into the fire station, you looked around and found the man you were looking for, and you walked over, tugging the back of his shirt.
You grabbed his hand and tugged him away from everyone else.
“Is Maddie dating anyone?”
“No but I think you might be a little to young for her.”
You slapped his arm and he laughed, rubbing the spot where you had slapped him.
You looked around and gestured for him to crouch down a little so he did, resting his hands on his knees as he looked at you.
“Because Chim likes her, and I know she likes him so I’m gonna set them up on a date, do you think Bobby and Hen and Eddie could help us?”
“Yeah, you’re in on this now so if it goes wrong I’m not the only one in trouble.”
Buck rolled his eyes at you.
“Alright thanks for that kid. But yeah I think we can get them aboard, when?”
Buck nodded his head and stood up properly again.
“How will you get them to agree to it?”
“Easy! I have that sorted! I need you to get the others to sort out food, drink, music and lighting, all that’s up to you guys leave Chim and Maddie up to me!”
Buck nodded his head with a smile and you both fist bumped one another and you looked to the side to see Chim coming over.
“I don’t like it when you two are alone, what’re you roping my kid into Buck?”
“Nothing I swear! They just wanted to talk about something.”
Chim turned to you, raising a brow at you.
“Yup! I was talking to him about school. Can I ask you something?”
Chim and gestured for you to follow him so you did and he took you up the stairs and turned around to face you.
“Is everything okay?” Chim asked you.
“I’ve never been on a date before. Will you come on one with me on Friday? Like a parent kid kinda thing?”
Chim cracked a small smile, reaching out he ruffled your hair a little.
“Of course I will. When and where?”
You hummed a little, pretending to be thinking about it.
“Absolutely, casual or formal?”
The furrowed your brows a little, and he laughed, explaining the difference between the two kind of dates for you.
“Formal it is. Am I meeting you here?” He asked.
You nodded your head excitedly and you ran away and he laughed softly, standing on the railing as he watched you go run over to Buck and Eddie.
That was Chim sorted, now all you had to do was get Maddie to come to the same place at the same time, and you had a plan for that as well.
You took Bucks phone, getting him to unlocked it you found his sisters number and told her it was you and asked her to come have lunch with you.
Maddie happily agreed, and Buck drove you to a nearby cafe to meeting up with his sister.
You had only met a few times, and you were hoping that would work in your favour.
“Hey (Y/N), Buck. This is a nice surprise.” Maddie smiled.
“We thought you could use a break, and they were getting hungry.” Buck laughed.
You nodded, kicking your legs a little as you sipped your drink and looked at her.
“I don’t think we’ve really had time to actually talk, have we (Y/N)?” Maddie asked.
You shook your head and set your drink aside.
“No we haven’t, but I have a way to solve that!” You beamed.
Maddie laughed a little, setting her drink down as she looked at you.
“Oh you do? And what’s that?”
“Me. You. Friday at 8pm at the station, formal wear.” You grinned.
“Is this you trying to ask me on a date?”
“Well, not a date date, like like dinner so we can get to know each other. Please!”
Maddie looked at both you and Buck smiling widely, and she rolled her eyes before resting her arms on table and looked at you.
“Does Chim know about this?”
“You can’t tell him! He’ll be salty because I asked you out and not him. But I know him, he’s old.”
Maddie laughed softly and nodded.
“Alright. I won’t tell Chim, but I’ll be there.”
You cheered and ducked under the table to sit next to Maddie instead and beamed at Buck who beamed back.
Maddie smiled softly down at you, wanting to get to know you some more.
Everything was going smoothly, and you were watching Eddie put up some lights while Bobby was cooking some food.
“Is here good?” Eddie asked you.
Eddie made sure it was secure before jumping down and stood next to you, nodding his head in approval at his handy work.
Hen and Buck game up holding a bag.
“Drinks are sorted, since this is a fire station Bobby said no alcohol so we found some alcohol free wine.” Hen smiled.
She smiled and set it on the table and you grinned happily.
“So why are we all conspiring with you on this (Y/N)?” Bobby asked.
“Because I’m fed up of watching Chim pretend he doesn’t like Maddie, and I know Maddie likes Chim because Buck told me.”
“You shouldn’t meddle in this business.” He said.
“Hey, no one said you had to cook mr captain man.”
He rolled his eyes at you and plated up the food and you grinned, jumping up and down.
“Hen! Hen! Go tell Chim to close his eyes!”
“Alright! Alright!” She laughed.
You followed her and hide around the corner and she made sure your foster dad closed his eyes before gesturing for you to come out.
“You have to keep your eyes closed until I say.”
“You don’t have to like it you just have to do it.”
Taking his hand, you carefully led him up the stairs and sat him down.
“Wait here, don’t speak.”
“No talking!” You huffed.
You poked his head and ran back downstairs with Buck so he could do the same thing with his sister.
“You have to stay quiet, (Y/N) doesn’t know you’re here yet.” Buck whispered.
“I don’t trust this but alright.”
You grinned, giving Buck and thumbs up and followed behind them as he led Maddie upstairs and sat her down as well.
Bobby brought the food over while Hen poured them their drinks and they all stepped back while you stood next to the table.
Both of them did and stared at one another in pure shock.
“It’s a set up! You’re on a date enjoy!”
They looked at one another confused before looking back to your again.
“You told me you’ve never been on a date?”
“And you told me you wanted to get to know me more?”
“And both of those things happen to be true, but you two like each other, but won’t do anything about it, so now you’re on a date with one another! With the help of the awesome people here.”
“Are you.. are you okay with this?” He asked.
Maddie smiled softly, shaking her head.
“Yeah. Yeah I am, are you?”
Chim immediately nodded his head and you cheered, giving Eddie, Bobby, Hen and Buck a fist bumped.
“This isn’t over (Y/N)!” Chim called.
“It is right now enjoy your date! I’m going out with Bobby and he said he’d drop me back home when you’re ready!”
“I’ll take good care of them don’t you worry, you two enjoy your date.” Bobby smiled.
You hugged Chim, and he rolled his eyes, hugging you back.
“Thank you…” he whispered.
You let go and hugged Maddie as well.
“We’ll go for that dinner tomorrow I promise Maddie.”
You laughed and ran down the stairs after Bobby with a huge grin on your face and Chim and Maddie shared a look, both of them laughing as they started their date
