Eddie looked at the glass jar in Buck's hand. "Lavender flowers?"

"For baking," Buck emphasized, shaking the jar. "And it's name brand. Do you know how much this goes for normally?"

"What are you even going to bake with it?" Eddie asked.

"There's this banana bread recipe I saw last week that uses it," Buck explained. "You melt the butter and infuse the lavender in it, then add it once its cooled. And lemon and lavender make an excellent combination. Have you ever had a lemon lavender cookie?"

"I can't say I have."

"It's-" Buck paused. "You know, it might be like cilantro. How some people can't stand it and some people just love it. And this is an opportunity to see where you fall for Camp Lavender."

"Camp Lavender?" Eddie snorted. "Okay, counselor. How much is the bottle marked down to?"

"From 8.99 to 2.89?"

43. Who wins the stuffed animals at the carnival for the other one? Buck 100% knows all the tricks to winning the best plushies, (you cannot tell me he didn't do a stint at a carnival at least once while gallivanting around the country) and Eddie is forced to carry them all around.

Ship of your choice + Birthday

So I know we both like Canaryfire, so I went with them!

For Mick, before Laurel, he just doesn't keep track of his birthday. It's just a marker for being another year older, another year in prison, another year of pulling heists. But after, it marks another year of knowing Laurel, of being with her, of loving her and being loved by her.

So Mick has before, where it's not really acknowledge or dealt with, but his after's? His after's are always special affairs, planned by Laurel where they spend them together, with takeout, crappy movies and just them.

For Laurel birthday's were always a big deal in the Lance family. Her parents always going out for her and Sara. Until Sara's "death" and then they became this gaping wound she didn't want to acknowledge. But then Sara came back and they got better. She never went back to wishing for big blow out parties, but she did find joy in celebrating them once again.

And then she got with Mick, who didn't even celebrate his own, who didn't realize they could be something special. So it's a bit of trail and error but eventually they settle into a tradition of on her actual birthday, is when they celebrate with her mom and dad planning a quiet get together of just family and their daughters s/o's. But the day after, they always spend doing whatever thing Laurel wants. Whether that be hiking, cooking, painting, yoga, fighting crime, or repainting their whole apartment/house. It's just whatever she wants and the two of them spending it together.

But when they have kids? They decide to go all out because they both know now how important birthdays can be to a person.

“How many coffees is that?”

“Ummmm.” Nora looks guilty. So guilty.

“Nora...”

“We’re out of town, without Tori, I don’t have to pump or breastfeed, let me have my coffee jollies Palmer!”

Ray laughs and pulls her into his side as they look out of their hotel room in London. Nora is sipping on her fourth cup of hotel room coffee. It’s gross but it’ll do. Between being a new mom of a four month old and jetlag she’s grateful for it.

“When are we meeting up with John and Gary and Cassie?” Because as sweet as the offer to stay with them in John’s house was... Cassie was still adjusting and should Cassie go with them for something they did not want to come back to the house destroyed from Gary and John’s sexcapades.

“Noon. They want to have lunch then take us to the park.”

“What? We’re not headed to Buckingham Palace to harass palace guards?”

“Nope that’s on the agenda for tomorrow.”

Ray chuckles and kisses his wife’s cheek. “Noted.”

“Can’t believe we’re here visiting our friends who are parents. And we left our best girl...”

“With her grandma whom we can trust.” Ray rubs her arm.

“I know I just miss her. Things are quiet without her.”

“Since when?” He pokes her side playfully.

“Are you calling me loud?”

“Only between the sheets.” He kisses her neck and her body feels warm and not from the coffee.

Nora puts the now empty cup on a side table and drags Ray inside, shutting the balcony doors. No need to scare the birds.

14. When one has a cold, what does the other do?

they are both very caring and attentive towards each other when they’re in full health so that pretty much goes into overdrive when one of them is sick. ray always makes nora’s favourite soup and convinces her to stay in bed with a book and a pile of blankets, even though she’s stubborn and wants to carry on doing whatever. she does listen to him when she’s really sick because it’s nice to be taken care of. ray can be just as stubborn when he’s sick and refuses to admit there’s anything wrong. he also never wants to infect anyone else so keeps his distance when he has a cold but nora would rather perish from an incurable cold than go more than 24 hours without kissing her husband so they both end up snuggled in bed where it’s warm and they can be gross together.

Captain Canary 27. Sick/Injured Fic + 35. Bathtub Fic

Ooooh.Sara is used to having a full range of motion. She works hard for it, makes sure she keeps herself both strong and limber. When she pulls a muscle while she and Leonard are on a mission away from the Waverider, in a time without great medical care, she’s pissed, and she just keeps getting stiffer and stiffer. 

Leonard knows a thing or two about stiff and sore muscles, and he pours her a warm bath. It ends up a little more romantic than either of them are expecting.
