I know that anytime buck and eddie go grocery shopping and are standing in line, whoever is the one behind, is the one putting their head on the others shoulder. And it happens anytime they are in line somewhere or even just waiting for something

imagine they have to do a quick run to the store after a long shift and the one behind start to fall asleep on the other's shoulder

(chris and buck wanting something from eddie, so buck goes behind eddie to put his head on his shoulder, while chris makes his attack from the front by giving eddie his best puppy eyes)

He can feel himself losing his composure under pressure, "I don't know if you can hear me, but Bobby, I hope you know how much I look up to you. How much I rely on you. How I- how I see you. I know we joke about it, but you are the closest thing I have to a caring father, a dad. And I need you to be okay...because I saw a life without you in it, and it sucked. And I just need you to know that, okay?" Beneath him Hen begins to rouse to consciousness, "Oh thank God," he takes a breath, "Firefighter Buckley to Captain Nash, come in," Hen's eyes widen staring up at him, he stares back. The silence is deafening.

''You know you can always talk to me Buck.''

"You know you can always talk to me, Buck."

Something in Buck's chest unravells at the words, a knot behind his sternum loosening as he lets out a shaky breath, clutching his phone tighter in his fist. "I know that. I do."

Silence meets him on the other end of the line, but it's never impatient. It's an opening, an avenue to explore...whatever it is he's feeling. Eddie always knows when to give and when to take, and Buck honestly didn't know it could just be like this. As easy as breathing.

"Baby? Are you still there?"

Buck nods, even though Eddie isn't there to see him, a jaw-splitting yawn escaping his lips as he stretches out on his couch. "'m here, Eds. I'm right here."

Eddie begins talking then, a stream-of-consciousness type of feat which washes over Buck, lulling him gently into a sleepy state. As his eyes sink closed and he allows himself to melt into his new couch, he thanks every star he can think of that he gets to love and be loved by Eddie Diaz.

No matter how many times i have seen chimney begins i always cry it breaks my heart for chim everytime

Kenny is an amazing actor and that episode just shows it so well

YES!!! so the first full episode of 911 i ever watched was fight or flight, but before that i caught the second half of chimney begins and it hit me sooo hard without knowing anything about the show or the character, and i think that’s a real testament to both the writing and especially kenny’s acting. he’s just SO ridiculously good at what he does
