One mistake to create a Forgotten boy

A story about a troubled man, someone who has been lied to, abused, and abandoned by the world. His father is too busy, and his mother was blamed for something she didn't do. Leaving his siblings to take care of each other, which didn't end well for him. He has been treated like an unwelcome guest in his own home by his siblings. Yet he is still trying to believe that their words are just random hate. He wasn't a monster, he wasn't broken… He wouldn't hurt people as they do to him. Now that he has left the house, He has finally made it to the real world, but he doesn't know how to interact with people. Nor does he know how the world works. He doesn't even truly know who he is, as he is just a runt to them all. So as the world watches him fumble around, waiting for someone to finish the job, He is fighting himself and the world for a better life. Learning what it truly means to be himself.

Day 18: First chapter book you can remember reading as a child.

Meet Felicity by Valerie Tripp. When I was five/six, I was only allowed to check out 10 books at a time, and I was going through picture books so fast that I was begging to go to the library almost every day, so my mom went out and bought me this chapter book in the hopes that it would keep me occupied a little longer.

Fun fact: when I started reading the American Girl series, there were only five American Girls, Felicity, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, and Molly. Now, there are like 27. It's ridiculous.

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. But only a bit. There are eleven historical girls, plus four offshoot characters who got their own series. Plus this "Girl of the Year" series, which also has eleven characters. So, yeah. 26. So when I said "like 27," it wasn't really an exaggeration at all. Geez.
