So...I took actual notes at the Supernatural ComiCon because I’m a geek and that’s what I do. I wanted to record my first experience. Here it is, word for word, from my notebook:
At the Supernatural ComiCon. Getting a photo with Timothy Omundson at 12:15, and Misha Collins at 7:00. It’s actually fairly quiet and empty. A few cosplays, but mostly regular-type people.
I’m a bit nervous, but also pretty chill about it. Keeping myself from getting too excited in order to keep myself from having an anxiety attack. Baoding balls in hand, keeping me stress free.
Lots of teenagers here with their parents. I am easily the most normal looking one here.
Richard was hungover, jokes not as good as they could have been. He’s really out of it.
I think I might want to be an actor.
“We will bury you in discarded photo ops.” - Richard
“We’re not here to host the convention, we’re warning signs on the curvy road!” - Richard
They’re really pushing it. The whole “musk” thing is getting over done. #blamethemusk
“Rob and I are contractually obligated to hope that you have a great weekend.” - Richard
“I’m sorry, I get choked up every time I hear our nation’s anthem played on kazoo.” - Richard
Richard keeps on making fun of Tim. I feel a bit bothered by it.
Ruth is horribly hung over, that much is obvious. You are fooling no one sweetie, we’re not idiots. She’s genuine though, I’ll give her that. Didn’t realize that was her real accent. I love it!
Timothy Omundson: adorable, genuine.
“That is an excellent question to ask a narcissistic actor like myself.” -Tim
Apparently Ted Cooper is colored like a mood ring. Cool! I wore my mood ring today. Should I mention it to him at the photo op? Nah.
Tim gets through questions very efficiently and effortlessly hold the room. I could see him as a close friend. I like him even more.
I told him I wrote a solo for Lassiter for the Psych Musical at my photo op and he followed me for a second and asked, “What exactly does that entail?” It was awesome!! Meeting him was easy and I wasn’t star struck at all. It was super easy to be around him.
Osric Chau: Funny and engages with the audience pretty well. He’s adorable! Now I get why people love him.
“I’m a pretty lazy actor.” -Osric
Side note: Rob and Richard are college humor. Not digging it.
Mark Sheppard: Remarkable tolerance for idjits. Sarcastic, snarky, funny (slightly inappropriate) I like him.
“Passion is everything. Without passion, I wouldn’t have my three kids.” - Mark
He’s pretty self-centered...but that’s to be expected, pretty much. Crude, but interesting.
“Cleanliness is next to Crowley-ness.” -Mark
Never mind. He’s jerkish and interrupts too damn much. He needs to chill / dial back the attitude.
I took no notes on Misha because I was too enthralled at the fact that I was in the same room as him. My photo was no more than five seconds long and practically no time was spent with him. That’s okay, though. Even when I was in line and realized that I was mere feet from him, I wasn’t really star-struck. I was just sort of...I don’t know. I guess it’s harder for me to be star struck eve since I met my music idol. These are just guys whose jobs are more visible than everyone else’s. I sort of feel kinda bad for them. I was watching people get their picture with him and all I could think of was the fact that his son, West, was somewhere with some of his co-stars who he doesn’t really know, and was missing his daddy. If I had a family, I wouldn’t be able to do it.
