No More
Linked Universe belongs to @linkeduniverse and @jojo56830. I am here to merely play in their sandbox. Enjoy!
Never, in Time's life would he pick up that accursed sword once more, the sword that was used to defeat Ganon. To the other Links, it was a blessing and a cure but to him, it was nothing more than a tool that slowly drove him to insanity. Though, the situation may require him to wield the sword once more.
Both he and Sky were nominated to search for ingredients. It was usually Wild's and Wind's job but well... Wild seemed to be stuck in a tree, hissing at his mentor who was busy spraying water to the wild child. Wind was having a nice nap alongside Warrior. It wasn't hard to find the ingredients and it was a nice change of paste really. Time never really had some alone time with Sky. From what he had observed, Sky is a cheerful Link, oblivious in a few matters and possesses a kind heart like the rest of them. What actually shocked him that Sky was the creator of the Master Sword but he shook the thought away. Sky would always wield that sword so he doesn't have to ever touch it ever again. How naive he was to think so.
They didn't hear a white Lynel ploughing through the forest; too busy debating about the mushroom's edibility. The Lynel slammed into Sky without mercy as Time watched in horror. Sky's body slammed a nearby tree with a loud crack. Muscles memory kicked in for the veteran hero as he withdrew his sword and slashed towards the Lynel, only for the attack to be countered by a shield. Hylian and beast dance around each other, slashing and dodging but the Lynel was stronger and disarmed Time with a mighty swing of his own large sword. Time's one way looked at the Lynel warily before his eye caught sight of a faint glow next to Sky. The Master Sword. It was calling for him. Calling for her past chosen to wield her once more but Time couldn't. Not without relieving those memories. The situation didn't even looked good for him. He was weaponless, Sky needed medical aid and the Lynel still stood tall. With a deep breath, he picked up the sword once more. The sword hummed in delight while Time was screaming inside. It didn't take long for the Lynel to fall then. Time didn't even know how he took it down. All he can see are memories. Memories of when he was in the Kokiri Forest, watching the Deku Tree, his father died, travelling back and forth in time, slowly ripping his sanity apart and then Majora. It was too much. Why isn't his hand letting go of the sword even though his mind was screaming to release it? Why couldn't he breathe? Why is his heartbeat so loud? Why everything is looking so loud? He only wanted peace and quiet, like back in the Kokiri Forest? But... He couldn't go back there. He wasn't a Kokiri.
Time didn't know for how long he was in such a state when he slowly started to feel hands around him, slowly bringing him down onto a lap, a hand closing his eye as several voices calling him to come back. He felt someone pried the master sword away and his mind slowly grew silent. The loud sound fading and he hears a song, a soft voice, a voice he knew so well. Wild his mind provided helpfully. He finally felt like he could breathe once more and the hand finally lifted, revealing a scarred face, eyes filled with worry as those lips continued to create the beautiful melodies. Several heads popped into his view and a small smile graced his lips. "Thank you."
