Sure!

So, I have it that the coven that created Earthbread and the coven holding the banquets are two different covens.

The first coven was the Coven of Light, led by the Witch of Light, Princess Lucia. She created Earthbread by accident due to a spill of both Magic Powder and Life Powder, and any cookie dough that was created afterwards had a tendency to come to life. The witches did attempt to eat the cookies, due to needing nourishment to cast the spells that would save their world, but all of them felt guilty about it, leading to a decision to stop eating cookies. Save for one, Eve (First Egg).

Earthbread was studied and watched and doted on. Princess Lucia saw it as a model of what the world could be.

Eve got banished after the Knight of Solidarity was baked- she was discovered stealing and eating cookies. She was already drifting away from the coven before that, leading Lucia to greet Salt when he woke up in the oven. This disconnect could've led to his connection issues with the other Virtues.

At some point after her banishment, after the Virtues had settled on Earthbread, Eve made her own coven and led an attack on the Coven of Light, leading to their slaughter and the installation of the Witches' Banquet. Fount, who continued to visit the kitchen, witnessed this.

And, yes, the Beasts' tastes were shaped by their mothers, because all of them have Mommy Issues.

I do have an AU of an AU of this where the Coven of Light turn into the First Cookies, leading to First Egg kidnapping Oleander...

Apollo laid (I think) her first egg today! Either that, or Limu came back into lay and shifted hues. The egg we got today is on the right in the picture with 2 eggs, next to one of Limu's normal eggs.

Well wasn't expecting this until early spring, but...

From one of the Sapphire Gems. Looks like the "painting bay" of her tract isn't fully online yet as the white stipples are shell showing through and not calcium residue.

I mean, I saw one of the girls getting a red comb, but I figured it would just fade again since the daylength isn't right. Probably still will, but she was just gunning to burst out that egg song at least *one* time...

I'll have to show you what I'm using as a nesting box later--it's pretty cute.

My Abby laid the first egg of the flock! This is my first time having chickens and I was shocked with how excited I was to find it! 🥚

Pumpkin laid her first egg!! I don’t know if it’s because she’s half silkie or maybe it’s a fart egg but it’s soooo leeeeetle!!

Pumpkin was the chick that almost didn’t make it. Her sibs all hatched and she was two days late. Momma Lavender kicked her out of the nest half hatched. When I found her, still wet and in eggshell, she was cold so I rushed her inside to the incubator. She lived her first few months inside. I’m glad she’s still with us as she’s one of the sweetest girls! Auntie Olive is her mother!
