A last hurrah for mermay- I wanted to have this finished yesterday, but ended up taking a bit longer than planned on it…

But! Woah! Some actual mermaids!

These are for a sorta swap/what if scenario for ‘of summer storms and seal furs’ where the girls were sirens instead of the reader being a selkie!

Fem! Swap sans is an orca siren here, and fem! Swap Papyrus is a wobbegong (shark)- both of which can be spotted around Tasmanian waters just like the reader (an Australian fur seal)

I’ve also been contemplating names for these two, cause it’s a whole string of words every time I want to refer to them specifically…

I’m thinking Poppy for Papyrus-

But I’m sorta stuck between Skye, Iris or Celeste for Sans (please let me know if anyone has opinions!)

Night when the south wind wakes the owl and the owl says it is summer now it is time to be summer it is time for that departure though the blanket dates from childhood it is time whoever you are to be going they are older every one of them there is spring no longer this is the south wind you have heard about that brings rain taking away roofs with a breath and a season of grapes in one blind unpredictable mmoment of hail this is the white wind that you cannot believe here it is and the owl sails out to see whose turn it is tonight to be changed
