Good morning everyone! I’m just going to call it second Sunday or first Tuesday...La la la la la la....
so, something totally random, but very touching just happened- a student walked into my classroom, and at first glance, I thought he had the wrong room. once the student came closer I noticed he was crying. I engaged the student in conversation and once he was feeling a bit calmer, he expressed to me that he is friends with a student who I used to see, but no longer attends this school. so when he texted her to tell her that he was feeling sad, she referred him to me which totally touched my heart on so many different levels. anyway, just had to share. xo
HAPPY NATIONAL SPORTSMANSHIP DAY!!! Celebrated on the first Tuesday of March, this day was created by the Institute of International Sport at the University of Rhode Island. It has been celebrated since 1990 and has spread to other countries as well. The purpose is to teach student athletes all over the world about sportsmanship and fair play, and to encourage them to stay away from drugs and avoid fighting.
First Tuesday (1969-1971) on NBC
