This is ‘Nack (snack) the betta. He belongs to the owners’ grabdson. He’s staying in my office while everyone is on a long family vacation for Thanksgiving. He’s a very pretty boy, and has a nice sized tank.

I'm fish sitting for my friend and I am soo terrified of killing him. It's a betta. I have 3 other tanks, which is why she trusts me to watch him, but I'm just soo terrified. He likes to fake being dead, he does it all the time to my friend. I'm worried he won't be faking it and she will blame me for it. So I try to keep her posted on him every day. It's just soo stressful right now. - Bramble

Hi Bramble! You’re going to be a great fish sitter. I have fish of my own. I know sometimes it can be very anxiety inducing to be responsible for a living thing, especially when it’s someone else’s pet, but you do know how to take care of fish. You’ve done it before. Your fish that are yours are doing well and there’s no reason the beta shouldn’t. It will be okay. Betas are pretty chill.

I've been feeding my roommate's fish while he's been gone. Last night I actually tried to find the fish and was not successful. I think I might have been feeding an empty fish tank all week.
