Running into the week and closer to home like... . . Colorado... We spent the most nights here and as a result, slept more and did less. Go figure. Lol. We hiked Fish Creek Falls and tubed the Yampa in Steamboat Springs, visited Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge and got my trail run in at Colorado Springs. (I’m sure we did more but I took less picture and I can’t remember much anymore🤪) . The highlight was getting a night out for dinner (sans kids and HUGE van) to meet up with an old Houston friend in SS. . We are over 4,500 miles in on this road trip, a PR for this crew (personal record 🤣) and we are still not home. However, we are closer and the realities of what’s to come in this Fall is weighing heavy on me. . I’ll be enjoying this last vacation as a rest day as I’m sure I’ll be needing it. 🤪 .
