October 2016 Fitness
October wasn’t the bang out 300 miles run fest that I thought it was going to be. I came down with a severe case of “I didn’t feelz like it-itis” and stopped running after the first week. I had 73 miles by October 9th, but I only ended up the month with just over 100 miles. It is kind of sad when you don’t even run half as much in twice the amount of time.
I didn’t run three marathons in three days nor did I put up 300 miles. I did do a 60 mile bike ride and then a marathon back-to-back though. So at least I did something this last month.
I am just hard on my case about it because October is the last month I can really put some work in and get my fitness at peak before World’s Toughest Mudder. I feel like I slipped in my fitness since the end of my half iron. That swimming, biking, and running even ate up so much of my will power and I haven’t really be able to recover. I guess we can just consider all this as a really long taper into a 24 hour event; a 5 week taper means I will be well rested.
This is going to be a kind of lazy review. Anyway. . .no analysis after the cut this time.
Summary
Running Miles: 106
Biking Miles: 60
Swimming Miles: 0
Weight Change: Gained ???? [You don’t gain weight if you don’t measure it, right??!?]
Total Training Time (TTT): 34.42 Hours
*note: I put up 34.42 hours, but that number is inflated a lot. I walked both laps at TM Tennessee so there’s about 7 hours of inflation right there.
