Saturday - Walking - Easy
Just a nice sunny day walking in the park. We took the Taco Bell Fitness Course! Ha ha. There were mini obstacles along the way. Near the end there were some deer.
Have a great weekend fitblr folks.

Pictures and Decisions Coming
When I organize Mt wtm pics I'll post them and maybe do a write up. Life is busy and I sore and tired though. Already contemplating about next year. Do I want to stick with extreme fitness? Maybe just regular fitness? Do I want to be a fitblr even? I've been slacking on posts.
Well my hand is infected (again). Two months ago Hold Your Wood punctured me and by the end of the day my hand was swollen up like a balloon. It cost me an arm and a leg to save my hand at the ER in Whereever, Michigan. This time I'm trying to go the low cost route. I soaked it in soapy, hot water last night. Today I have a bandana for compression and soaking that in hot epsom salt water. Hydrogen Peroxide everytime I unwrap to reset

Ran. Some mistakes were made. Some success were had. 55 miles. Not the mileage I wanted, but an improvement over last year. Progress. My leg muscles hate me. In-N-Outwas good. WTM Brunch today so more food. Yay. (Tumblr ate my before and after photo post)
Coffee and sunrise; Calm before the storm. Today's challenge is chilling, But our passion keeps us warm. Steady your breathing; Towards the perils unknown. Our tests may be individual, But we'll not find ourselves alone.
World’s Toughest Mudder
Today was registration and pit set up. Also lots and lots of hugs. Oh and arts and crafts becaise I had to decorate my bib.
Seeing the obstacles up close and all the tents and bibs really started making things real.
There’s three areas of pit where I have groups of friends. Since I have no dedicated pit crew member this year, I have to mooch off my friends. Luckily I don’t plan to stay in the pit long. I just want to get in, get my m&m and pretzel bag, and get back out there. If I need need help I have three locations woth people I know that can lend a helping hand.
Also I know a lot of people woth similar goal to me. I am hoping to run into them on course so I have a friend to push myself with. I don’t want to end up in the dead of night alone again. It’s super mentally challenging to stay in the game when you are tired, dark, wet, and cold.
Heading to thr buffet family dinner for some more hugs and such. Not sure how I want to get my sleep tonight, but my body better be ready to go by high noon tomorrow.
You can follow me at World’s Toughest Mudder starting tomorrow (Saturday) at 12 noon CST through 2 pm Sunday. You can search for me by name (Anthony Boyle) or bib number which is (1130)!
You can follow along on the Worlds Toughest Mudder app, or Race Results 360 which is also an app in the App Store. Obstacle Racing Media and Mud Run Guide will have live coverage and www.toughmudder.com will have live updates as well.
Thank you to all of my tumblr and fitblrs friends for always supporting me, it really means a lot to me! It also really helps to know that you have people who believe in you and are cheering you on.
Im not really sure how it’s going to go this year, but I am going to give it my all and push as hard as I can! I have a couple of goals that I would like to reach.
Worlds Toughest Mudder
We received the last puzzle piece to the course map last night. The organizers and designers have been handing out a couple puzzle pieces a day for the last couple of weeks. To earn a piece we had to post memories, share stories, do push up challeges, and other community building things on social media.
The course looks about as hard as it was last year. Same hills, same water crossings, and same pit set up. It also looks like we will be in an out of the water obstacles just as much. Staying wet means you have to keep warm; my biggest enemy last year.
However, the obstacles look like they got turned up a notch. There’s a new twist to funky monkey, a double rainbow swing, and new grip obstacles.
On top of that, the penalties for obstacles are a little more duanting. Half a mile more in distance and there is sand bag carries.
Overall, I am confident in my abilities on this course. I actually don’t think I needed to run more to train so this 6 week taper won’t hurt as much as I thought. However, I should have been doing more pull ups and working on my strengths. The obstacles are gonna demand it.
Worlds Toughest Mudder
Hi! Long time no post! Things! Some good. Some bad. Some really good. Some not too too bad, but kinda poopy. I haven't ran in forever. Longest taper ever! Right? I have a 24 hour race in the Las Vegas Desert this weekend. Deer in headlights. 0.0. I'll post tracking stuff later. Tumblr ate my pic post twice. These are the highlights. Everybody dance Dance dance. Don't forget to be awesome.
Ate my post.
Words
October 2016 Fitness
October wasn’t the bang out 300 miles run fest that I thought it was going to be. I came down with a severe case of “I didn’t feelz like it-itis” and stopped running after the first week. I had 73 miles by October 9th, but I only ended up the month with just over 100 miles. It is kind of sad when you don’t even run half as much in twice the amount of time.
I didn’t run three marathons in three days nor did I put up 300 miles. I did do a 60 mile bike ride and then a marathon back-to-back though. So at least I did something this last month.
I am just hard on my case about it because October is the last month I can really put some work in and get my fitness at peak before World’s Toughest Mudder. I feel like I slipped in my fitness since the end of my half iron. That swimming, biking, and running even ate up so much of my will power and I haven’t really be able to recover. I guess we can just consider all this as a really long taper into a 24 hour event; a 5 week taper means I will be well rested.
This is going to be a kind of lazy review. Anyway. . .no analysis after the cut this time.
Summary
Running Miles: 106
Biking Miles: 60
Swimming Miles: 0
Weight Change: Gained ???? [You don’t gain weight if you don’t measure it, right??!?]
Total Training Time (TTT): 34.42 Hours
*note: I put up 34.42 hours, but that number is inflated a lot. I walked both laps at TM Tennessee so there’s about 7 hours of inflation right there.
Wednesday - Running - Easy
Hey look! I did a thing! Oh man! Things were done! First run in 9 days. Ha ha. Woot woot. I fitness'd today.
It did threaten to rain and it took approximately forever for my music to start. But despite those things this run got off without a hitch. I didn't WHAT to run. But I didn't NOT WANT to run. Does that make sense?
Happy Wednesday fitblrs!
Bad News:I haven't ran in 8 days.
Good News:Can we talk about how ferocious we are? Lol. Third date tonight!

Saturday - Something - Easy
I still don't feel like running. I stayed in bed until 1PM. I was trapped. It was super noce outsode though so I forced myself to get up. I walked about 4 miles just talking with my friend via messenger. Autocorrect was trying to get me to go to the pool or gym. Silly technology.
Walking is something. I need to run though. I have a 24 hour race in 3 weeks. Ugg ugg ugg. Maybe I can put up a decent mileage week starting tomorrow. Take it easy at TM Tennessee this coming weekend, and find myself some courage while tapering. I don't know.
In happy news: I have a second date tonight. Oh my. Second date. Serious. On saturday? That's serious. I'm excited.
Happy Weekend folks. Try to make the most of it
I am completely useless today. . .
I did get out my fall jacket though. I’m just sitting around with it zipped fully up and my fists shoved in the pockets. If anyone asks me a question I just look at them blankly. My eyes wander around aimlessly as if I’m carefully trying to witness a fly land on their nose. Finally a one shake yes or no headbob happens and I reach at my jackets zipper and try to pull it even more further up despite it already being so.
I’m such an awesome human being.
