So I started following a keto diet back on December 29th and have been feeling good on it. Typically I wear suits to work and sweats or pajamas at home (no point in getting cat hair all over the good stuff). Today I went to training at the U so I just wore jeans and a sweater. All day I kept having to hike up those same jeans that were a wee bit snug on Christmas eve. When I just got home, I discovered that with some hip shimmying I can now remove them without unbuttoning.
Weigh-in: July 10/17
SW: 139
CW: 136
3 lb loss this week! I chalk half of that up to probably having a belly full of food during weigh-in last week, but I’m still really stoked that I went in the right direction! It’s a good motivator for Week 2, though I’m trying to be realistic and I don’t expect that kind of loss for next week.
I’ve also decided not to do photos once a week. I think it would be a more exciting, and dramatic, transformation if it’s seen once a month rather than once a week.
In search of a fitness/get healthy buddy!
Looking for some one to get back into shape with or someone to just talk to about fitness and keep me accountable, share workouts and recipes!
YAS! NEW PB ON MY RUN!
I’m so happy - running is certainly not my forte - it’s only 3km, but it’s continuous (Apart from a number of tiny pauses for gates, stiles, cars and a few minutes walk through a particularly root-y part of the mud path)
It’s not fast, but that’s not what I’m aiming for - I’m aiming for distance! :)
And that was after the gym
I’m proud at least :)

Successful interval workout on the bike today! I'm really trying to stop myself from overdoing it at the gym/be too hard on myself. And I think I'm being pretty successful. I admit that sometimes the fitblr world gets me riled up because there's such an emphasis on pushing yourself to your limits. I need to constantly remind myself that my limits are different than other people's limits. Especially because if I go past my limits I pay for it for days afterward. I feel like I keep saying this but never actually internalizing it but I am enough. My effort is enough. It's not about being as good as someone else it's about being the best I can and keeping myself aware of the capabilities of my body.
Day 2 of Crush at Home complete. I can't straighten my arms after yesterday so today was pretty tough but I just worked hard an modified what I needed to modify (ex instead of burpees I did sets of jumping jacks and push-ups). I also went to the doctor today and I've been sent for blood tests as they think I may have PCOS or Hypothyroidism. I'm not pleased but at least I seem to have a doctor who treats my symptoms as something to be concerned with rather than just something that I need to exercise away.
