Ever since I started doing Olympic lifting, I've never focused so much on technique. Compared to bodybuilding, Olympic lifts require lifts to be almost perfect in order to execute them. If it's not the pull, it's the shrug, or the foot placement 😏. I'm still working on that and tweaking things up a bit. Isn't that what life's all about? Figuring things up as you go. Getting up after each fall, fixing your mistakes, learning from other people mistakes. It's all about the preparation and the execution. Using chalk for deadlifts has been so helpful. I don't like using gloves, so this is perfect. I know some gyms don't allow people to use chalk, but we do at Morales Fit Club, 😉💪🏼. My workout for today consisted of heavy deads up to 85% (we need more weights to go to 95%), hang cleans and snatches and Jerks. It was a great session as I completed Day 2 of the Olympic weightlifting training program. Btw, I'm loving my new lifting shoes (if you haven't noticed, haha). I've been able to lift much better with the squat, cleans and deadlifts. Definitely recommend getting some lifting shoes if you're getting serious about lifting heavy.
