On today's fitness Done Better we have a correction. This was posted explaining how doing these exercises will give you the "V" lines However those "V" lines are in fact your external obliques and all of these exercises work your hip flexors. The hip flexors ( iliacus, psoas major) lie deep under the rectus abdominus ( think the 6 pack muscle) so these are in fact wrong. Or at minimum not the best way to develop your "V". If you want your "V" then getting low body fat and ROTATION exercises would be best for developing this area. However, hip flexor will cause the external obliques to contract to stabilize the abdominal wall but will never be your major focus. That would be like doing bicep curls to work the anterior deltoid because it stabilizes during barbell curls. #think #dobetter #fitnessdonebetter Learn to train properly and effectively. Know what muscles you are working and what joint movement those muscles perform.
