me: says I’m going on a short break also me: immediately has a shifting update (I’m still burnt out, but I’m figuring things out and am less stressed now)
ANYWAYS COOL THINGS HAPPENED
I saw a post (I forget who wrote it) about writing the Grabvoi number for shifting on their wrist and, once they held it to the full moon with intention, it started to burn; I decided to do the same thing to see if anything would happen. I had used the number before but had wildly different results than tonight.
Firstly, I did feel some sensation on my wrist where I wrote it about an hour to an hour and a half later. I wouldn’t describe it as burning, but more like a slight prick. Secondly, if you’re using the Grabvoi numbers, it is way better to write it or keep it on your person rather than put it under your pillow. At least in my experience--two days ago when I put the number under my pillow, all I got was a restless night and something felt incomplete about it. But when I wrote it on my person, it was one of the most successful shifting attempts I’ve had.
I used the five-by-five or panic attack method. I had seen it on tikok yesterday and only remembered vague details about it, but decided to throw caution to the wind and try a new method. What the five-by-five method does is it causes you to narrate and visualize your DR using your senses. You’re supposed to list off 5 things for each sense--sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. I get why it’s called the panic attack method, it’s a similar process; I prefer the name five-by-five, though. I may do a full post on this method soon.
There are a few things to note about what I was visualizing:
I haven’t designed my apartment for my New York City DR yet--I was making things up as I went. So to get results, you don’t have to have everything visualized!
However, I had one distinct photo I could remember from my Pinterest; the walls were a dark blue/green.
I also incorporated a loud fan in my bedroom to be one in my apartment, going through the internal narration of “why did I buy that stupid thing, it’s so loud”. Of course, I actually don’t mind the fan, that’s just the first thing I thought of.
One of the most distinct things I made up about my DR is that there was a little alcove with a window (with curtains) right across from my bed. I made it clear that the curtains were open and the sun was shining on my face.
As I was going through the five senses, I was actively plotting out my apartment--I started from the layout of my CR bedroom and moved things around until I got something close.
But sidenote: I didn’t even get through all five things for all five senses before the method worked--the most important thing about this method is to go quickly and never stop to think. If you list 10 things for sight but none for touch, that’s alright!
So I went through this internal narration of what I could see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. Most of it was for sight and hearing because those are the easiest to sense, at least for me. As I was doing this, I began to feel as if I were falling. I had had this symptom before, but it had only lasted a short while to my memory. This time, it was intense; I was practically spinning. My heart was beating out of my chest and I found myself breathing heavily. I tried to calm myself, but to no avail. I could actually feel a warmth on my face as the sunlight hit it.
Another odd symptom was that I couldn’t tell if my eyes were open or not. I was wearing an eye mask at the time, so it could have been because of that.
Anyways, I panicked and opened my eyes after a few moments--still in my CR. But that was a wild ride and far closer than before! I hadn’t actually felt anything from my DR before, let alone properly visualize it.
