My brain @1AM: But what if JGY had stayed in Gusu for magic sword summer school?? Getting dragged along with NHS/WWX's mischief, becoming weird friends with JC as they both tried to reign in the tricksters, WWX noticing JGY's crush of LXC, teasing him relentlessly. Then JGY, incredulous, "Considering the way you act around LWJ, you DO NOT get to talk." (NHS makes leading comments to JGY about, "So LXC or Dage, A-Yao? Or BOTH? Hint hint.") How would JGY's story have changed w/those friendships??

omgggggggg how have I never thought of this before?

MY getting dragged fishing! WWX insisting on treating him like another young master even though he’s like “I’m only an assistant...”! MY laughing every time JC rolls his eyes so hard that he astral projects! MY actually learning some cultivation which he’s never really had a chance to learn and becoming LQR’s favorite student because he’s so bright and well-mannered! MY and NHS engaging in parent trap shenanigans to force WWX and LWJ into situations alone together! Betting on how long it will take them to start making out! 

omg MY interacting with JZX back at this point in time! everyone talking about how MY is so clever and such a good student and everything! The Gusu Lan and the Qinghe Nie both clearly not giving a f#$^ that he’s a bastard and the son of a whore, so JZX is like “have I ever considered ... that my father is awful? perhaps I should think that over”. MY actively conspiring with WWX to break off JZX’s engagement with JYL because he hates JZX even more than WWX does and he doesn’t deserve such a wonderful lady!

LXC at the end being like “thanks NMJ :))) I’m not giving him back :))))” and NMJ is like “!!!! You can’t just steal my assistant!” LXC: :)))))
