Top Anime Runner Ups

These are anime that I still really enjoyed, but didn’t make my Top 10 List...Mainly because I didn’t finish some of these or felt the other shows I watched were better. I still recommend these shows though :D A lot of these are from the 2020 season, except for 91 Days. Sorry for any typos.

1.) Railgun T

I love Railgun. I plan on finishing up season 3 in early 2021.

2.) Fruits Basket Season 2

Fruits Basket is a masterpiece. Go watch it. I need to finish season 2. I started reading the manga, so I ditched the anime lol. From the episodes I saw, it was still a fantastic adaption :D

3.) Tonikaku Kawaii

I LOVED Hayate the Combat Butler back in the day. It was hilarious. So, when I heard the creator had a new series and it was going to be a anime, I was on the hype train. TK is so fluffy. Go watch it if you want to see two people navigate married life. It’s a great rom-com.

4.) Higurashi 2020

So, I wasn’t going to watch the new Higurashi at first. I had seen the first two seasons. I knew the story. Why did I need to watch a new version of the show?

But my curiosity won and I started watching it on Halloween lol. I ended up enjoying this a lot, and I liked seeing the new versions of the same events. It kept me guessing until the end. Episode 2 also had a big revelation as well.

I still think if people are gonna jump into this series then they should start with the old version.

5.) Fugou Keiji Balance Unlimited

Characters are hot. Opening and Ending songs are amazing. Plot was weak. I was expecting more from the story. But it was nice for 11 episodes.

6.) Hamefura

Catarina, you mad lad. Being a good person gets you your own harem. I am probably one of the few Catarina x Sophia shippers lol.

But yeah this anime was really cute. I’m excited for the next season.

7.) Ikebukuro WGP

I know this anime wasn’t a hit with some people, but I like it when the story is episodic. I enjoyed each story and the characters that were introduced. The opening was cool too.

(And yes, I only started this because I love Drrr!)

8.) 91 Days

Can’t eat my lasagna in peace because of this anime.

Haha. But I did enjoy this revenge story a lot. There were a few times where I was genuinely surprised by what happened next. The opening song was pretty too.

I was not a fan of the open ending. It should have been clear. Did he die? Did they both die? Sometimes ambiguous endings work, but for this anime it didn’t.

I still enjoyed it though.
