Throwback MerMay! 🧜‍♀️

(I was going to actually share this on Thursday, but my life is falling apart today and I figured I'd share art with the world to cope!)

Figured I'd take my first stab at some art completely and totally unrelated to FFIX and this blog, let's gooo. 🕺

We'll start with some more mer-stuff, MerSal and MerKuja aren't the only mer-things I've shared, no, no. There's lots more! Some finished, some still WIPs until further notice; all Mer. 🐠🐟🦈

And yes, the dreaded angelic merman with the sax is back. 🎷🧜‍♂️ "He's not gone, he's never gone!" (I've shared this guy on Twitter for random stuff at least three million times. He's also my header. He's omnipresent. He's always there... hahaha!)

🤔 Still hoping I'll manage to make more progress on at least one of these WIPs here next MerMay, but... I dream big, and can only do so much...!

(And yes, those drinks, pineapple and all that stuff in the last one are placeholders. The end result won't look that tacky, don't worry.) 😆

Anywho... on that note, I added a new tag: #and now for something completely different 🎨 Please blacklist that tag if you want to keep things FFIX and FFIX adjacent! I'll be using it for every single post that is unrelated to this blog from this point forward.

I remember reading long ago that Johnny Depp showed up on the first day of playing Captain Jack Sparrow completely wardrobe’d, make-up’d and method’d in that outlandish chararacter. Here he talks about it a bit:

Johnny Depp does not seem to be a great human being, but I love what he says here. This is just so funny to me! And Captain Jack is truly an amazing character.

Anyhow, I thought about it because this (in a much more mild form) is what I’m getting from Tom’s flair bartending classes.

Summary:

Armie could not have wanted to go out less. It had been a long day, a longer week and he had been looking forward to ordering in, watching a movie, and going to bed early. But Nick had apparently had a worse day; and what kind of friend would he be if he let him get drunk by himself?

When he pulled up to the address Nick had sent him, he had to check the text message again to make sure hadn't read it wrong. Boujee Nightclub was definitely not the kind of place he was interested in spending his Friday nights. Maybe the hot bartender will make him reconsider.
