After two badges that are only vaguely related to their pokemon type, it’s a relief to present the Flame Badge which needs no explanation! Beating the fire gym nets you a fire-shaped badge--nice!
Ironically, in order to make this badge I used the teardrop shape from the water-based Cascade Badge, then tripled it and turned out two of the teardrops to make the flame badge. Plus the middle flame is also the same teardrop from the Cascade badge.
The Flame Badge happens to be one of the badges whose shape is the same in both the anime and the games. But the two versions flip-flopped the colors! So the anime is lighter red in the middle and darker on the outside, while the game version is like how I’ve depicted it here. It’s a small difference, but I still find it interesting how the games and anime just couldn’t quite agree on these little badges.
