Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris has a beautiful memorial to the artist Hippolyte Flandrin who painted the murals in the church.  He is probably best known for his painting Nude Youth Sitting by the Sea, a figure study he completed as a requirement for his studies at the French Academy in Rome. The painting in now in the Louvre.
