It’s so interesting to me the comparison
Leon finds a child(teenage) Keyblade Wielder, and he says that
Four teenagers find an 8-year-old is meant to be in charge alongside them, none of them bat an eye
It really brings into perspective how young. Those kids were. How truly different their world was. Saw a post a while ago about how at the Keyblade War the camera would be going by everyone’s faces, all of the tall teens and the short ones too, only to harshly duck down every 4 or 5 people to reveal a single-digit-age child.
They were so young. And they fought and died in a war I don’t think any of them wanted.
Also unrelated but Leon’s weapon looks like a Keyblade and Riku’s VA, when playing, called it a “gun blade” which is rly silly
I’ve always looked at how thin Sora’s arms were. Always seen it, made headcanons on it, etc etc. Somebody told me it was the way the creatures liked to design him.
But the other day I saw a short that cought my attention — it was the scene of Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts 3, side by side, summoning a combined Keyblade. I’ve seen it before, yeah, but not for a good while now. And I realized…
Sora’s arm…
Is SO much smaller than Riku’s. So small. Sora’s jacket looks like the sleeves would fit snugly on Riku.
Sora is by no means weak. He’s gone through a lot, done a lot, put up with a shit ton.
Why is he so small? He’s only a year younger than Riku.
Maybe he doesn’t eat enough, maybe he’s picky, maybe he doesn’t eat the right food.
Maybe it’s genetic? We never see his parents. We have no idea what it could be.
And don’t get it wrong, Riku and Sora both seem(to me, autistic, has a hard time with a lot of social things) to be healthy teenagers, with a lot on their plates to be sure but regardless.
So, somebody pointed out to me a while ago now that Riku’s fighting style is in fact literally just Xehanort/Ansem/whoever the fuck else’s.
And since then I’ve been wondering about the fight in the prologue of KH1, where you fight Riku before the events of the game.
Watching Riku’s VA play it(I suggest to watch, he’s fun so far and Ik he makes silly Riku/Sora jokes), and he’s fighting Riku on the islands, and…
Riku, from what I can tell, doesn’t have a defined stance right now. He uses a lot of thrusts and spin attacks, but, when he’s just standing there?
He’s just standing there. Maybe has his sword up, defensive, making a line across his body to block vertical attacks. But it’s nothing like the Nort Crew.
Sora has his defined stance already. Riku, does not.
The way they move in kingdom hearts, specifically in 3, is so. Strange
They hug, but not the “holding you as close to my body as I possibly can” type, it’s y more like the “I put my arms around you and give you space and call it a hug” which like. I get it, I do, but,,
The Skyward Sword adventure pouch is so interesting to me.
You don’t start out with unlimited space where everything gets shoved.
No, you start with a pouch that has space for four items. Then you add four more total pouches to that first pouch. So you end up with eight spots, but…
At least four of those has its own entire *pouch* addition.
Which leads me to think Sky might be one of the most organized people in the Chain, honestly. Everything he has goes in one spot. Me personally, I keep my shield in the top spot of the adventure pouch and my first two bottles on the left and right
Left for healing/fairy, right for rejuvenating(the one that fixes the shield and restores 4 hearts, idk if that’s what it’s actually called lol)
