Flash Fact!
Anyone know what a resonant frequency is? Everything has a certain vibrational frequency or a range of vibrational frequencies. Resonance is when two vibrational frequencies (with one being an applied force) are very similar and interact to create increased amplitude.
So for example, an opera singer can shatter glass while singing because they can match the frequency of the glass with their sound waves. Hitting the resonate frequency causes the frequency to increase (ie the glass vibrates faster) and the glass (which is very delicate and not at all flexible) shatters.
This is the scientific basis for how Wally's powers work. Other speedsters don't really mess with resonate frequencies (or maybe they just don't know how to). They match the vibrational frequency of an object and just slip through it. While Wally can also do that, he tends to cause resonance a lot as well. Which leads to explosions.
Anyway, just wanted to share this because a lot of the Flash Families insane sounding powers actually have a solid basis in science. (Not anything speedforce related though, mostly just the pre speedforce stuff)
I'm happy to hear New Wave is your favourite fic of yours because it's also my favourite fic of yours! (Low key think it might be my favourite batfam fic in general tbh--defo my fav Steph). Have you got anything else in mind for that universe?
Ho ho ho. What are you? New here? >:3
Yes I definitely do. It features Stephanie stepping up her harassment game to harassing Superman and Lois Lane. She might have met her match in Lois.
It is a bit on pause though! I'm going sicko mode on a Trigun fanfic right now (guys it fucks so hard) so the steam train is chugging along on that. I'll come back and finish it when the train changes gears.
And also the world isn't getting away without seeing my reinvention of Barry Allen as Bill Nye the Science Guy. I am also really itching to write Oliver Queen & Mia Dearden adventures. When I'm in a Batfam mood again expect that.
LADY SHAZAM IN FLASH FACTS
Heya! It's the same anon who asked about Bart Allen the other day. Thank you for answering my ask! But yee please post snippets of those chapters they sound awesome I am so deprived of Bart content, especially on AO3. Maybe one from the fic about the philosophy of secrets? It sounds awesome!!
Sure! Thank you and sorry I'm a bit late getting back to you.

Bart tries not to talk about the future. Well, or maybe it should be the past for him.
Tenses and chronology are the first things to go when messing with time travel. It’s just asking for a headache, honestly.
It’s not like it’s a secret.
Not really.
Secrets are things that matter, that have effects. That future, Bart’s past, is never going to happen. He made sure of it. So, by extension, it doesn’t have effects. It has quite literally no matter left, even at the molecular level.
Just because it did happen--for Bart, to Bart--doesn’t mean it has to matter for anyone else.
And, yeah, he does get that other people here don’t necessarily think like that. People here in the past (present) get to do things like care without consequence and just because things mattered for Bart then means they can matter to other people now.
Bart gets that. Really, he does.
It just…he kinda doesn’t, too. In Bart’s world (old world), things didn’t work like that. Which means, consequently, Bart doesn’t really work like that. And some of the things people bother with caring about--especially when it comes to Bart--just really seem like too much of a hassle.
Besides, it’s kinda depressing for them anyway.
So, Bart tries not to talk about the future.
.....
The Rogues listen anyway.
