We had flat Christmas last night.....
We decided to have a flat Christmas so we could celebrate together and swap our secret santa's before we all part over the coming week to go home for Christmas. So yesterday we all ventured into town to buy fake snow and stencils for our window - it looks SO cool now - and a tonne of food for our Christmas dinner. We bought -
A 75 piece starter platter - which included cheese straws, little pasty things, cocktail sausages and sausage rolls
A turkey filled with stuffing with bacon on the top
Loads of vegetables - including brussle sprouts (eugh no thank you)
A strawberry and champagne gautaux
And a 60 piece dessert platter - which included, strawberries covered in chocolate, doughnuts, brownies and chocolate eclairs
The whole making of the dinner was really successful and it was SO yummy. It was really lovely to sit down and have a meal together. We pulled crackers, wore those delightful christmas hats and laughed a lot. Then, after washing up and singing along to christmas songs, we swapped secret santa's. Everyone did really well and managed to buy presents that were really nice. My secret santa was Duncan - the flat mate that I argue with the most - but he bought me some really lovely soap and a bath bomb from Lush which smell delicious -despite him wrapping it up in about 50 different layers.
We then watched loads of episodes of Family Guy and just hung out eating ridiculous amounts of dessert. It was a really lovely evening and I'm going to miss my flat mates over Christmas.
