DP Shiptember Day 2: Games

They were both a bit competitive.

Usually, on game nights, they’d stick to co-op games, because anything in versus-mode would get them in trouble. When pitted against each other, someone would inevitably lose, and the other would sour the mood by turning into a sore loser.

It was better, more natural, really, to play cooperative. That’s how they were in real life, at school, on the battlefield - they had each other’s backs.

Sometimes, though, during single-player games, or in Co-op when a boss took him out, her competitiveness was a thing to behold. She looked adorable when she was in the zone, ultra focused, tongue sticking out, as she thrashed her opponent to avenge him. Sometimes he lost on purpose just so he could sit back and watch her play.

Would he ever admit it aloud? Hell no.

But in many respects, Sam Manson was the only girl who could make him stop playing games.
